    摘要: The apparatus is a coupling device that couples a cart to a continuously moving towline which is recessed into the cart support surface. A vertically movable coupling pin engages the towline and is lifted away from the towline to disengage the cart from the towline. To prevent irregularities in the support surface from accidentally lifting the pin away from the towline, the pin is attached to the cart through a structure that also permits the cart to move freely relative to the pin but maintain the pin engaged with the towline. The preferred embodiment attaches the coupling pin to a movable tube that moves within a fixed tube, and the movable tube also can be lifted by a cam and locked into a position with the pin disengaged.

    摘要: A system for storing a spare tire within a vehicle includes a support surface, a rear tire brace, and a front restraint member. The support surface supports the spare tire. The support surface has a rearward portion on which a rearward radial portion of the spare tire is supported and a forward portion on which a forward radial portion of the spare tire is supported. The rear tire brace is spaced apart from the rearward portion of the support surface for limiting lifting movement of the rearward radial portion of the spare tire. The front restraint member is removably secured to the forward portion of the support surface for limiting at least one of forward, lateral and lifting movement of the spare tire on the support surface.

The separate shell is connected to a first end section of the support and defines a first storage chamber disposed adjacent the support. The shell has first and second chamber openings. The first chamber is accessible through the first opening. The shell has a fixed size. The differing lengths of the first support and the second support allow the fixed sized shell to be used in varying vehicle sized load-carrying beds.

    摘要: A coated roller for transportation and stretching of plastic film web during load unitization, and a process for preparation of the coated roller. A cylindrical metallic roller core is pitted by blasting, then primed, heated and immersed in a room-temperature liquid plastisol comprising vinyl particles dissolved in a plasticizer. The plastisol accumulates on the hot metal to a depth determined by immersion time. After removal, curing and cooling the coated core is machined by lathe to expose a cellular infrastructure and achieve a cylindrical coating coaxial with the core. The coated roller exhibits superior durability, resistance to tackifier additive buildup, and resistance to circumferential web slippage during web stretch between two rollers in a film path from a supply roll to a load being wrapped.

The support structure forms at least a portion of a frame of a vehicle. The bed floor includes a support surface having a plurality of longitudinal extending, spaced apart raised ridges for directly supporting cargo. Each ridge has elevated and angled parts and an upper part. The upper part of each ridge has an increased thickness compared to the other parts and a raised section for increased strength and rigidity of the ridge. Each ridge includes a wear resistant surface having a first texture disposed substantially over the entire ridge and a second texture disposed over the upper part of the ridge. The second texture is disposed at least partially over the first texture.
