The first substrate includes a switching element connected to a gate line and a data line crossing each other, and a pixel electrode electrically connected to the switching element. The pixel electrode includes a first domain-dividing portion extending in a direction. The second substrate is spaced apart from the first substrate to have a cell gap of about 3.1 μm to about 3.3 μm. The second substrate includes a common electrode including a second domain dividing portion formed in a region between the first domain-dividing portions adjacent to each other. The liquid crystal layer is interposed between the first and second substrates. The liquid crystal layer includes a liquid crystal composition having a refractive anisotropy (Δn) of about 0.1010 to about 0.1030.

    摘要： An end-sealant composition for a liquid crystal display (LCD) panel includes an acrylic polymer resin, a polymeric photoinitiator polymerized into an acrylic chain, and an acryl-philic coupling agent. The end-sealant composition exhibits reduced diffusion into the liquid crystals during an end-sealant forming process. Image defects such as stains around fill ports and incidental images are thereby prevented, so that high quality displays can be prepared. Use of the end-sealant composition can provide high performance for high dielectric constant liquid crystals that are widely used in the fabrication of liquid crystal display panels.

    摘要： An apparatus for printing bead spacers on a substrate of an LCD panel includes a head unit for spraying a plurality of bead spacer groups on the substrate, a transfer unit for transferring the head unit, and a supply unit for supplying the bead spacers to the head unit. Each of the bead spacer groups includes a plurality of bead spacers, and the sizes of the respective spacers of at least two of the spacer groups are different from each other. The invention enables a cell gap of a substantially uniform thickness to be created and maintained in the panel, prevents the occurrence of smear failures in the panel, and increases the allowable tolerance in the amount of liquid crystal material needed to fill the panel correctly.

    摘要： A spacer ink printing apparatus for printing spacers on an LCD substrate includes a main body, a pressing roller and a spacer ink removing portion. The apparatus may further include a spacer ink guiding portion and/or a spacer ink spreading portion. The pressing roller is combined with the main body and rotates so as to press a spacer ink sprayed onto a printing plate into each of a plurality of receiving recesses of the printing plate. The spacer ink removing portion is combined with the main body and serves to remove any excess spacer ink from the printing plate, thereby reducing wasted spacer ink and decreasing the manufacturing cost of LCDs produced with the apparatus.
