摘要： Resinous compositions which are the Michael adducts of primary and/or secondary amines and polymers containing alpha, beta-ethylenically unsaturated moieties in conjugation with carbonyl moieties are disclosed. The compositions are depositable on substrates to form films. The films are amenable to oxidative and aminoplast cures and cure with light color. The compositions are desirable for use in cationic electrodeposition.

摘要： Polymeric products are prepared polymerizing in aqueous medium under addition polymerization conditions a dispersed phase of a polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated monomer or mixture of polymerizable, ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of a quaternary ammonium base group-containing polymer which is formed from reacting a polyepoxide with an unsaturated tertiary amine in the presence of a proton source. The polymeric products are useful in water-based coating compositions particularly for use in cationic electrodeposition.

摘要： It has been found that aqueous coating compositions comprising a blocked organic polyisocyanate and quaternary sulfonium group-containing resin containing isocyanate reactive groups can be electrodeposited. These compositions deposit on the cathode to provide coatings having excellent properties including solvent resistance, salt spray and detergent resistance, hardness, flexibility, and most importantly a resistance to yellowing, especially when used to formulate white or pastel coatings.
