摘要： Disclosed herein is a secondary battery including a safety connection member constructed in a structure in which a horizontal connection terminal (a), which is connected to an electrode lead of a battery, is connected to one end of a safety element, and a vertical connection terminal (b) is connected to the other end of the safety element. The position of the electrode lead of the battery is easily adjusted due to the safety connection member. Also, the high-temperature safety of the battery is improved due to the safety element.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a secondary battery having an electrode assembly received in a receiving part of a battery case, the electrode assembly being constructed in a structure in which pluralities of cathodes and anodes are stacked one on another while separators are disposed between the respective cathodes and anodes, and electrode taps extending from the stacked cathodes and anodes are coupled to electrode leads, wherein the receiving part of the battery case is provided at the outer upper end thereof with a depressed step such that at least a portion of the inner upper end of the receiving part of the battery case excluding the electrode taps-electrode lead coupling parts of the electrode assembly is in tight contact with the upper end of the electrode assembly.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a battery pack including a battery cell, having an electrode assembly mounted in a pouch-shaped battery case made of a laminate sheet including a metal layer and a resin layer and is sealed by thermal welding, mounted in a pack case, wherein the pack case includes a frame member constructed in a structure in which a receiving part for receiving the battery cell is open, opposite side sealing portions of the battery cell are mounted to the frame member such that the opposite side sealing portions cover the opposite sides of the frame member, and a sheathing film is applied to the outer surface of the frame member, to which the battery cell is mounted.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a sheet-shaped safety kit that is attached to opposite major surfaces of an electrode assembly for secondary batteries. The safety kit includes a group of metal sheets electrically connected to a cathode terminal of the electrode assembly, another group of metal sheets electrically connected to a cathode terminal of the electrode assembly, and an insulation sheet disposed between the two metal sheet groups. The metal sheets of one of the metal sheet groups are interconnected with each other at lower ends of the metal sheets, the lower-end interconnection part interconnecting the lower ends of the metal sheets has a width less than that of the metal sheets, and lower-end corners of the interconnected metal sheets are larger than lower-end corners of the metal sheets that are not interconnected with each other.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a secondary battery constructed in a structure in which an electrode assembly having a cathode/separator/anode structure is mounted in a sheet-type battery case having a receiving part defined therein, the sheet-type battery case is sealed by thermal welding, and sealing parts are formed entirely along the edge of the receiving part by the thermal welding. The sealing parts are perpendicularly bent such that the sealing parts are brought into tight contact with a side wall of the receiving part. Cathode and anode terminals are positioned at two different sealing parts about the receiving part, respectively. When external forces are applied to the secondary battery, the safety of the secondary battery is improved, and the occurrence of a short circuit is effectively prevented.
