    摘要: A driving circuit for an LCD system is provided. The LCD system includes a common electrode, a display electrode, and a capacitor. An AC voltage output terminal of the driving circuit is coupled to the common electrode via the capacitor. The display electrode and a charging/discharging unit in the driving circuit are respectively coupled to the AC voltage output terminal through a switch. According to requirements to change the electrical polarity of the common electrode, a control unit in the driving circuit turns on/off the two switches respectively so as to charge or discharge the AC voltage output terminal.

    摘要: The invention discloses an electrostatic discharge protection circuit suitable for an integrated circuit system. The integrated circuit system includes a first power terminal, a second power terminal, an internal circuit and a reset signal wiring. The electrostatic discharge protection circuit includes a first transistor and a second transistor. The first transistor has a first gate, a first electrode and a second electrode. The first gate is coupled to the first power-source. The first electrode is electrically connected to the second power-source. The second transistor has a second gate, a third electrode and a fourth electrode, which are electrically connected to the second electrode, the first power-source and the reset signal wiring respectively. When the integrated circuit system is under an electrostatic discharge condition, the first and the second transistors are switched on, so as to equalize the voltage level of the reset signal wiring to the voltage level of the first power terminal.

    摘要: A backlight processing system and a method thereof are provided. The gray level values of pixels in an input frame signal are adjusted and the brightness thereof is decreased correspondingly. During gray level value adjustment, the gray level values of the pixels in dark regions are reduced, and the gray level values of the pixels in bright regions are increased. During backlight adjustment, first, statistics information on distribution of the gray level value versus the number of pixels is obtained according to the gray level distribution of the original frame. The number of pixels at each gray level is accumulated. When the accumulation value reaches a certain value, a reference signal is obtained. The brightness of the backlight is then adjusted according to the reference signal.

    摘要: A driving apparatus and method for active matrix organic light emitting display includes a writing element, an auto-zero element, a driving element, a switching element and a storage element. The invention employs an auto-zero mechanism to compensate threshold voltage variations of each driving element to improve image uniformity. Data loading is accomplished by charging the storage element with a current. Loading voltage may be modulated by controlling the amount of current and by controlling charging time. The invention saves a capacitor than conventional techniques, and can increase the aperture ratio of pixels and reduce the complexity of driving method.

    摘要: A high-stability shift circuit using amorphous silicon thin film transistors, which utilizes two out-of-phase pulses to control the operating mechanism and the bias-relations among transistors in the shift circuit. This makes the transistors under the driving conditions of positive/negative-alternating biases so as to restrain the voltage shift of the transistors such that the threshold voltage will not excessively increase along with the increasing operating time. This can not only increase the lifetime of the amorphous silicon thin film transistors but also extend the operating time of the shift circuit.

    摘要: The invention relates to the driving circuit and method of an active matrix organic electro-luminescence display. The writing thin film transistor (TFT) gates of all pixels on the scan line are connected to the scan line. The resetting TFT gates of all pixels on the scan line are connected to the front scan line of the previous row. The switching TFT gates of all pixels within the driving block are connected to the block control line of the driving block. The above block division control and pixel driving circuit design can be used to present gray scale by modulating the display time-ratio. This invention makes use of block separation control and pixel driving circuit design to improve the defect of the timing-inefficiency of the existing digital driving technology tremendously.

    摘要: An adjusting apparatus for enhancing the contrast of an image and a method therefor are provided. The adjusting apparatus includes a mask processor, a brightness detecting unit, a brightness adjusting unit, a ratio calculating unit and a contrast enhancing unit. The mask processor retrieves a pixel matrix from an original image according to its mask dimension, and outputs a specific pixel corresponding to a specific position in the pixel matrix. Then, the brightness detecting unit, the brightness adjusting unit and the ratio calculating unit are coupled in series to process the image according to relations of each sub-pixel of the pixel matrix, so as to obtain an adjusting ratio. Thereby, the contrast enhancing unit multiplies the value of the adjusted specific pixel by the adjusting ratio to enhance the contrast of the image.
