The balloon is configured to detect the air pressure in the pressure-receiving portion due to communication with a pressure detector through an opening end of the tubular portion. A transverse cross-section of the pressure-receiving portion orthogonal to the axial direction of the tubular portion has a flattened outer circumferential shape with an oblateness f=(A−B)/A, where A represents the length of a major axis of the outer circumferential shape and B represents the length of a minor axis thereof, being set to a range of 0.1≦f≦0.7 at a position at which the length A is at a maximum. The air pressure can be changed significantly and stably, and the precision of the pressure measurement can be increased.

    摘要: A process for efficiently preparing an optically active chloropropanediol derivative, especially (S)-1-benzyloxy-3-chloro-2-propanol, which has a high optical purity and is useful as an intermediate for medicines. The process comprises treating an inexpensive racemic chloropropanediol derivative with a nitroxyl compound and an oxidizing agent to convert it into a chlorohydroxyacetone derivative and then stereospecifically reducing the carbonyl group of the chlorohydroxyacetone derivative by the action of either a carbonyl-reducing enzyme having the ability to stereospecifically reduce the chlorohydroxyacetone derivative or an optically treated culture of a microorganism having the ability to yield the carbonyl-reducing enzyme. Thus, an optically active chloropropanediol derivative is prepared.

The balloon includes a pressure receiving portion 4a that forms a cavity and a balloon tubular portion 4b that communicates with the inside of the pressure receiving portion, and the balloon is joined to the front end portion of the balloon base with the balloon tubular portion. The balloon base has a rib 5c that protrudes outward along the outer circumferential direction of the front end portion on the balloon side. The device for measuring oral cavity pressure uses the pressure measuring probe including a flat balloon and allows the balloon to be inserted into the oral cavity in an appropriate state, and thus stably can ensure good measurement accuracy.
