    摘要: A computer graphics apparatus includes a walk-through function to simulate with a computer the concept of walking through a structure such as a building. Display processing time and calculation processing time for one frame of a computer graphic image are improved by an input unit which receives a viewline moving instruction to move a viewline of a computer image. A viewline control unit determines positions and directions of the viewline while a storage unit stores computer graphics data including three-dimensional data of objects, walk-through attribute data and viewline data. An image generation unit then generates images including animated images based on the position of the viewline and the computer graphics data. The resultant images are then displayed on an image display unit.

    摘要: An apparatus for determining whether polygons which form objects defined by graphic data generated by CAD intersect with virtually generated light rays. Polygons which are not intersected are removed from the graphic data as unnecessary for the generation of CG data. An apparatus is also described in which path passage points which pass through an animation path within a virtual world are interactively set. If an object exists that interferes with a path that joins adjacent path passage points, an alternate route path which detours around the interfering object is generated. An apparatus is also described in which a path of a moving object is interactively set on a perspective view of the virtual world as viewed from one direction. The position of the set path in the virtual world is calculated, and the position of the path in the direction of viewing is corrected to a position that is removed from an object by a prescribed distance.

    摘要: A three-dimensional graphic apparatus generates a three-dimensional image using computer graphics, in which the positional relationship between matters, such as furniture in a three-dimensional image, can be changed readily and accurately. A moving object indication unit indicates one of the matters in the three-dimensional image as an object matter. A search direction indication unit indicates a search direction of a base polygon constituting a base matter coming into contact with the object matter, from a notice point of a line of sight. A base polygon search unit selects, from among polygons located on a straight line extending from the notice point in the search direction, a polygon closest to the notice point as the base polygon. An object polygon selection unit selects an object polygon, which is a polygon to be brought into contact, from among polygons constituting the object matter. A neighboring unit rotates the object matter so that the object polygon will be parallel to the base polygon and moves the object matter so that the object polygon will be parallel to the base polygon and moves the object matter so that the object polygon and the base polygon lie on the same plane.

    摘要: A color image input from a document image inputting unit is converted into a gray-scale image by a brightness image extracting unit. The gray-scale image is then converted into an image having a higher resolution according to the resolution of the original gray-scale image. When this conversion is performed, subpixels are generated between the original pixels, and the values of the subpixels are obtained with an interpolation method. Furthermore, a threshold value for a binarization process is generated by using an original pixel value and a subpixel value. The characters included in the binarized image are recognized by a binary image recognizing unit, and a recognition result is output from a recognition result outputting unit.

    摘要: A document image tilt detection unit extracts a set of elements forming a character from a document image, extracts candidates for horizontal and vertical lines based on the character elements, estimates the reliability of each candidate for a line, and extracts a set of probable lines. Then, it estimates the tilt of the document image based on the arrangement of the character elements belonging to the line elements in the set of probable lines. A layout analysis unit extracts a set of lines in a fixed line direction from a set of basic elements forming the document image, and reciprocally performs the extraction of a column based on the correlation between lines and the extraction of a line based on the restrictions of the column. By providing the document image tilt detection unit and the layout analysis unit, the tilt of the document image containing both vertical and horizontal character lines can be detected, and lines and columns can be extracted at a high speed with high precision.
