    摘要: An electrochemical device comprises an electrode matrix including a multilayer structure composed of a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a first separator, and first and second dummy electrodes electrically connected to the positive and negative electrodes, respectively. The first and second dummy electrodes have respective opposing parts opposing each other through a second separator at an outer peripheral part of the electrode matrix. One or each of the first and second dummy electrodes has a resistance control layer at least on a side where the opposing parts oppose each other. The resistance control layer has such a resistance value that an estimated internal short circuit current between the first and second dummy electrodes is equivalent to 0.09 C to 1.00 C. The first and second dummy electrodes are adapted to short-circuit each other at a lower temperature than the positive and negative electrodes do.

    摘要: An electrode manufacturing method which can lower the impedance of electrochemical devices is provided. The electrode manufacturing method comprises the steps of applying a coating material containing an active material particle, a binder, and a good solvent for the binder to a current collector, so as to form a coating film made of the coating material; removing the good solvent from the coating film; applying a poor solvent for the binder to the coating film having removed the good solvent; and pressing the coating film coated with the poor solvent.

    摘要: An airline-based video game system includes a multitasking master computer, which preferably stores video game and other application programs on its hard disk. The master computer is coupled to a set of airplane zone control computers which also perform conventional cabin management tasks. The zone control computers receive data from the master control computer and couple data to identified seat controlling processing units (SEBs). Each SEB receives data from, and couples data to, a set of unique seat display units which are associated with each seat in the airplane. The system downloads application software to the seat display units from the master computer. After receipt of a downloading request, the master computer responds by setting up an application program transmission for generating the display menu which appears on each SDU.

    摘要: A memory cartridge (10) is attachably/detachably loaded to a game machine (22) which includes a microprocessor (24) and a working RAM (26) provided in association with the microprocessor. When the memory cartridge is loaded to the game machine, a program ROM (18) included in the memory cartridge is connected to the microprocessor and the working RAM through data bus and address bus such that the data can be communicated between them. When a game is terminated, a password is generated in accordance with a program stored in the program ROM in advance by modifying game status data including data of score, power or energy and the stage number which are stored in the working RAM. The password thus generated is displayed on a display. When the password is inputted by a player prior to consecutively starting a succeeding game in accordance with the display, by restoring the inputted password, the game status data is set in the working RAM, whereby the microprocessor consecutively starts the succeeding game from the game status at the timing when the preceding game was terminated.

    摘要: A video game/comunications system is disclosed which permits guest room guests to actively participate in video game play or to use other data processing/communication services. A multi-tasking master host computer stores video games and other application programs on its hard disk, downloads programs to an array of SNES game playing engines in response to guest selections. Each guest room guest room includes a terminal device which is coupled to the guest's color television and to a game controller. By pressing a game controller menu key, the guest room guest initiates the downloading of applications software by the host computer to the array of SNES engines located within the guest room. A downloaded applications program generate a display menu which appears on the guest's television. The display menu permits each guest room guest to select between various operating modes (identified, for example, by displayed icons), including movies, games, shopping, survey forms, language selection, communication/data processing services, etc. If a user opts for video game play, then the available game titles and/or descriptions thereof are displayed. The host computer assigns a time slot to both a guest room terminal and a SNES game playing engine for passing game play indicating key strokes from the room's game controller to the SNES engine. Audio and video outputs from each of the SNES engines is connected to a channel modulator that places the composite signal on an assigned frequency in the RF distribution system. The assignment is communicated to the room terminal during an initial interactive session, whereby the teal tunes the TV to the proper channel for its assigned SNES engine.
