摘要： An infrared communication system is disclosed, that has a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter includes a modulator, a first converter, an infrared transmission section. The modulator modulates a first electric signal and generates a second signal as a modulated signal. The first converter converts the second signal into an infrared signal. The infrared transmission section transmits the infrared signal to the receiver. The receiver includes a filter, a second converter, and a demodulator. The filter restrains rays having a spectrum whose peak is present at a predetermined wavelength emitted by a plasma display panel. The second converter converts the infrared signal passed through the filter into a third electric signal. The demodulator demodulates the third electric signal.

A destination of the user is detected via a transmitting and receiving unit to which the electronic key card is held, and the broadcast signal is read from the stored reproduction position on the hard disk and then transferred to an electronic device at the destination, thereby enabling a continuation of the broadcast program that was viewed to be viewed in a room at the destination.

摘要： A flexible system for recording data onto compact disc recordable media includes a plurality of system modules. Each system module includes a CD-ROM drive for reproducing data from a master compact disc; a SCSI controller for receiving data from an input terminal of a SCSI interface; and a plurality of CD-R recorders. Each CD-R recorder of a system module records data onto a compact disc recordable medium simultaneously with each other CD-R recorder of the system module records data onto a compact disc recordable medium. The SCSI controller is further for controlling the system module to be in one of a standalone operating mode and a slave operating mode. When a system module is in the standalone operating mode, the data recorded onto the compact disc recordable media by the plurality of CD-R recorders is the data reproduced from the master compact disc. When a system module is in the slave operating mode, the recording data recorded by the CD-R recorders onto the compact disc recordable medium is the data received at the input terminal of the SCSI interface.

The distribution server determines whether the reproduction schedule of the advertisement data has been changed and transmits a notification on a change. If the distribution server receives a request for acquisition of the as-changed reproduction schedule, the distribution server sends the as-changed reproduction schedule to the relay server. If the relay server determines that the reproduction schedule acquired from the distribution server has been changed, the relay server transmits the notification on the change of the reproduction schedule.

The apparatus automatically receives delivery of goods addressed to one of the dwelling units regardless of the presence or absence of a resident. Registered agents, such as residents and agents granted access, use an IC card that carries identification information to gain access of a shared entrance. For each dwelling unit, a registered agent likewise uses the IC card to send family identification information or agent identification information to a door phone apparatus, thereby unlocking the door lock of the entrance for a family member.
