摘要： An error rate measurement apparatus for a mobile radio communications system, which quickly and accurately measures the error rate of received signals on a real-time basis with simple hardware. The apparatus is equipped with a plurality of receivers for receiving signals from a single transmission source with antennas spaced apart from each other. A bit comparator compares the received signals bit by bit and sends an error detection pulse signal to an error rate calculator if it has detected a bit error. The error rate calculator counts the number of error detection pulse signals sent from the bit comparator for a predetermined period. The error rate calculator then divides this pulse count by the number of incoming bits received during the predetermined period, and further divides the quotient by the number of reception signals that are compared by the bit comparator, thereby obtaining the error rate of the reception signal.

First and second despread demodulators demodulate the spread signals transmitted over first and second communications channels by despreading them with first and second spread codes, respectively. A path detector generates a timing signal for instructing the timing at which the despread demodulators perform the despread operation. The path detector is shared by the first and the second despread demodulators, and operates in a time-division manner.

摘要： In a CDMA receiver for applying despread processing to direct wave or delayed waves that arrive via each path of multiple paths, applying synchronous detection processing to the despread signals obtained, combining the detection signals of respective paths and discriminating the received data on the basis of the combined signal, (1) a weighting unit provided for every path measures power of delayed received waves that arrive via its own path and, if the reception power is less than a set level (breakpoint level), subjects an output signal to weighting conforming to the reception power; (2) a RAKE combiner combines signals output from the weighting units of the respective paths; and (3) a data discrimination unit discriminates receive data based upon the output signal of the combiner.

摘要： A searcher for a CDMA receiver apparatus includes a correlator obtaining a correlation value between a spreading code sequence and a spreading code sequence within a received signal, and a non-linear processor carrying out a non-linear conversion to convert one of the correlation value and a predetermined value indicative of the correlation value into correlation value information which has a data width smaller than that of the one of the correlation value and the predetermined value. The correlation value information is used to carry out a search process to search for a synchronizing timing with respect to the spreading code sequence within the received signal.

Further, a searcher detects multipath and the levels of signals that arrive via respective ones of the paths, a level-difference calculation unit calculates level differences between the paths, a correction unit corrects the target SIR based upon the level differences between the paths, and a transmission power control command creation unit creates a command for controlling transmission power of the mobile station in such a manner that the measured SIR will agree with the corrected target SIR, and transmits this command.

摘要： As in a conventional technology, a hard clipping process and a filtering process are performed on a transmission signal. An original transmission signal is subtracted from a signal on which the processes have been performed, and an inverse sign signal to the suppressed signal is retrieved. By giving a gain to the signal, and adding up to the original transmission signal, a peak voltage is suppressed. The gain can be a ratio of a difference signal between a hard clipped signal and an original transmission signal to a signal of suppression of a filtered signal from the original transmission signal, or a value determined by a simulation depending on the cutoff frequency of a low pass filter used in the filtering process.
