    摘要: This invention provides an oil seal that can maintain an excellent friction reduction function over a long period of time, has excellent abrasion resistance, and further has excellent sealing properties. The oil seal comprises a seal lip (4) formed of a rubber-like elastic material comprising a lip edge part (9) and an air-side slope (8) and a sealing fluid-side slope (10) provided on both sides of the lip edge part (9). The air-side slope (8) has a coating film (14) on its surface. In the lip edge part (9) in its portion in contact with a shaft (13), a sealing fluid-side rubber part (2′) and an air-side coating film (14) are simultaneously brought into contact with the shaft (13). The coating film (14) is preferably formed of a coating agent comprising a fluororesin, a polyethylene resin, an isocyanate-modified polybutadiene resin, and a solvent.

    摘要: A hydrogenated nitrile rubber-metal laminate having distinguished heat and rubber bulging resistances at elevated temperatures and surface pressures, which comprises a metallic sheet subjected to a hexavalent Cr ions-free chemical conversion treatment, a defatting treatment, a surface-roughening treatment, a primer treatment, or a combination of the treatment, and an adhesive layer and a rubber layer successively laid on one or both surfaces of the metallic sheet, wherein the rubber layer is a vulcanizate of a hydrogenated nitrile rubber compound comprising 100 parts by weight of a hydrogenated nitrile rubber, 50-250 parts by weight of an inorganic filler containing not more than 20% by volume, on the basis of total compound, of a non-reinforcing inorganic filler having an average particle size of not more than 5 μm, 4-20 parts by weight of an organic peroxide, and preferably furthermore 2-10 parts by weight of N,N′-phenylene dimaleimide.

    摘要: A process for producing a metallic gasket, which comprises making a thin metallic sheet into a solid figure having an inclined surface, thereby providing a bead region extended upwardly and downwardly over the inclined surface, and forming a sealing part made of a hardened rubber layer on the surface of bead region, characterized by forming a sealing part extended from the apex of the bead region down to an upperward position on the inclined surface, and another sealing part extended from a downward position on the inclined surface down to the flat bottom part, and joining the sealing parts by the rubber material in a solution state extended along the inclined surface from both of the sealing parts, before drying and hardening of the material for making sealing parts. Application of the rubber material in a solution state is carried out preferably by a screen printing process. The rubber sealing parts formed by a silk screen printing process contributes to uniformization of the layer thickness resulting from the drying and hardening.
