摘要： A data transmission apparatus, a data reception apparatus, and a data transfer system prevent a case where same usable data is present in plural apparatuses at the same time and can certainly move data, in MOVE processing of the data between the data transmission apparatus and the data reception apparatus. The data transmission apparatus includes a synchronous control unit synchronizing a timing of (i) deleting or invalidating, in the data transmission apparatus, move-target data and (ii) decrypting, in the data reception apparatus, the move-target data that has been encrypted. With this, it becomes possible to prevent a case where the same usable data is present in plural apparatuses at the same time.

摘要： Provided is a data transmission apparatus, a data reception apparatus, and a data transfer system which can prevent a case where the same usable data is present in plural apparatuses at the same time and can certainly the move data, in MOVE processing of the data between the data transmission apparatus and the data reception apparatus. The data transmission apparatus (101) includes a synchronous control unit (405) that synchronizes a timing of deleting or invalidating, in the data transmission apparatus (101), move-target data and a timing of decrypting, in the data reception apparatus (102), the move-target data that has been encrypted. With this, it becomes possible to prevent a case where the same usable data is present in plural apparatuses at the same time.

When transmitting AV data which is prohibited from being used in a reception apparatus that does not support new usage control information, the AV data transmission apparatus assigns different cipher type information, which is used to notify the reception apparatus, so that even the reception apparatus which cannot recognize the new usage control information can recognize its inability to perform decryption is due to new encryption performed by the AV data transmission apparatus.

The recording and reproducing apparatus selects an exchange key to be used according to the address of a recording and reproducing apparatus which is the transmission destination when encrypting an AV content to be transmitted.

摘要： A data transmission and reception system and the like are provided, which are capable of preventing: unauthorized copying between a server and a client; and unnecessary use limit when a copyright constraint is conformed. A server generates and manages overall use permission information indicating that the overall data accumulated in the server can be used and distributes the overall use permission information together with copied data to the client determined to exist within a private use range. The client manages the overall use permission information and the data received from the server in such a manner associated with each other and enables use of the data received from the server only when the overall use permission information is valid. When the client moves only within the private use range, the server continuously manages the overall use permission information so as to enables use of the copied data. Meanwhile, use of the copied data in the client which has moved out of the private use range is inhibited.

摘要： Provided is an AV data transmission apparatus including two or more output channels, an encryption unit encrypting AV data using an encryption key, and an AV data transmission unit transmitting the encryption key and the encrypted AV data to AV data reception apparatuses from each output channel. The apparatus also includes an encryption key switching unit switching an encryption key generation scheme to another one for the encryption key transmitted through a selected output channel, an output suspension unit suspending output of the encrypted AV data transmitted through a selected output channel, and a control unit (i) causing the output suspension unit to select an output channel and suspend the output of the encrypted AV data through the selected output channel, and then (ii) causing the encryption key switching unit to select the same output channel and switch the encryption key generation scheme to another one for the output channel.
