摘要： A receiving surface (625) for use in the supersonic welding of the welding boss (620) of an M cassette tape reel (612a) is composed of the lower surface of a ring portion (626) which is formed so as to extend annularly along the base end of a hub central portion (621) formed in the bottom surface (616a) of a lower reel (616) and also which is projected downward (in FIG. 2) by a given amount from the bottom surface (616a). That is, the receiving surface (625) is situated slightly outside in the radial direction from directly below the welding boss (620).

摘要： A mold apparatus for forming a pair of mutually opposing guide walls respectively disposed and erected on an upper surface of a half-case of a magnetic tape cassette. The mold apparatus is divided into a third mold and a second mold, and the guide walls to be molded form the boundary between the third and second molds. After injecting resin into the mold apparatus in order to mold the guide walls, the second mold of the mold apparatus is firstly removed in the guide wall erected direction. Then, the third mold of the mold is removed in the same direction, while a distance between the formed guide walls is enlarged by elastic deformation resulting from contact between the guide walls and the third mold.

摘要： A mis-insertion preventive rib 15 which will fit in the front opening that is formed in the magnetic tape cassette is provided at the storage part 3 which constitutes the magnetic tape cassette storage case 1 and, to facilitate visual and palpable recognition, the height H1 of the lateral wall part 13 which is formed at the outer circumferential part of the storage part 3 is designed so as to be smaller than the height H2 of the mis-insertion preventive rib 15 so as not to be supported between the lateral walls 13 but to protrude from the lateral wall part 13 when the magnetic tape cassette is inserted incorrectly. Therefore, at the time to store the magnetic tape cassette in the storage case, if the mis-insertion preventive rib does not fit in the front opening, the insertion in the incorrect direction can be checked visually by the entire magnetic cassette protruding from the lateral walls. Since the magnetic tape cassette which protrude from the lateral wall part is not supported between the lateral walls, the lid part is difficult to be closed even if tried and thus the incorrect mounting state is quickly recognized.
