    摘要： To limit the time capable of reproducing a plurality of contents as a whole recorded on a recording medium. Provided herein are a recording medium on which a plurality of contents and reproduction-enabled time which is a period of time for allowing a user to freely reproduce the plurality of contents as a whole are recorded, a reproduction device having an acquisition unit which acquires the reproduction-enabled time and a reproduction inhibit unit which inhibits the reproduction of each of the contents when the accumulated reproduction time of the plurality of contents as a whole exceeds the acquired reproduction-enabled time during the reproduction of each of the contents.

    摘要： A disc-shaped information recording medium includes a first recording layer (L0 layer) having (I) a first trial write area (101P-1) for trial write of first trial write information for calibration of the laser beam along the first track path (TP1) from the inner circumference toward the outer circumference and (II) a first recording area for recording the first recording information along a first track path (TP1), in this order from the inner circumference side. Furthermore, the disc-shaped information recording medium includes a second recording layer (L1 layer) having (I) a second trial write area (101P-2) for trial write of second trial write information for calibration of the laser beam along the second track path (TP2) from the outer circumference toward the inner circumference and (II) a second recording area for recording the second recording information along a second track path (TP2), in this order from the inner circumference side.

    摘要： An information recording apparatus has: a recording device for recording information onto an information recording medium, whose recording speed can be changed to first and second linear velocities, by irradiating laser light with a variable recording power; a measuring device for measuring reproduction quality by reproducing the record information recorded at the first linear velocity, if the recording speed is changed from the first linear velocity to the second linear velocity; a first calculating device for calculating a link power which is the recording power which gives the reproduction quality measured by the measuring device in the second linear velocity, on the basis of correlation information for representing a correlation between the recording power in the second linear velocity and the reproduction quality of the record information; and an adjusting device for adjusting the recording power at a time in stages or in continuity.

Each recording layer has a predetermined area in which power calibration is performed to detect an optimum recording power of laser light for recording, which is transmitted through the first recording layer and other layers of the second recording layers, the first recording layer, the other layers of the second recording layers, and each of the second recording layers arranged in this order as viewed from an irradiation side of the laser light, and in a facing area, which faces the predetermined area, in the other layers of the second recording layers and the first recording layer, by forming embossed pits.
