    摘要: A sliding bearing which is suitable for and durable in the use under high load of sliding in rocking motion, and the structure of bearing is not complicated so as to facilitate the manufacturing. The alloy used for making the bearing is composed of iron-based sintered alloy having quenched structure, and the bearing surface is provided with inclined grooves of an inclination angle of 10 to 40° relative to the direction perpendicular to the sliding direction and a width of 2 to 8 mm and the area of inclined grooves is 50% or less of the total inner bearing surface and an imaginary line perpendicular to the sliding direction crosses both the inclined groove and the bearing surface at any position of the inner surface of bearing. When the bearing is used, at least the inclined grooves are impregnated with a lubricant.

    摘要: An oil-impregnated sintered sliding bearing formed of a porous iron-based sintered alloy with quenched structure and receiving a high surface pressure capable of reducing the number of finishing steps by cutting and grinding and providing a bearing performance equivalent to or higher than that of conventional bearings, wherein a plurality of ridge-and-groove lines having a height difference of 2 to 12.5 μm and extending in circumferential direction are axially arranged in parallel with each other by boring the bearing surface thereof to form a wavy surface in axial direction, and the portion thereof deeper by 10 to 60 μm from the outer layer of the bearing surface is formed dense to seal surface pores so as to reduce the pores opening to the outer surface to 1 to 10 percent by area, whereby the bearing can be used at a surface pressure of 6 kgf/mm2 (58.5 MPa) or higher and a sliding speed of 2 to 5 cm/s.

A gap is provided between an internal circumferential portion of the sintered material and an external circumferential portion of the core. Consequently, when the sintered material is compressed, plastic flow is produced at both ends of the sintered material so that an internal circumferential portions at corresponding portions protrude inward in a radius direction till the internal circumferential portions come into contact with the core, so that slide portions are formed.

    摘要: A magnetic fluid bearing unit has a bearing housing, a bearing member having magnetic fluid as a lubricating agent, a rotary body rotatively supported by the bearing member, an upper permanent magnet arranged inside the bearing housing, and a lower permanent magnet arranged inside the bearing housing, the bearing member being sandwiched by the upper permanent magnet and the lower permanent magnet. The bearing member is a radial porous oil-containing bearing member in which the magnetic fluid is impregnated. The upper permanent magnet is set to have one direction of magnetic pole orientation, and the lower permanent magnet is set to have the same direction of magnetic pole orientation as the upper permanent magnet. The bearing member is sandwiched by the upper permanent magnet and the lower permanent magnet to confine the magnetic fluid. Over a wide range of rotation speeds, the leakage and the scattering of the magnetic fluid from the bearing unit can be prevented. The bearing unit for a compact size motor having a high rotation accuracy can be obtained.

The iron powder contains a porous iron powder which has a particle size of 177 microns or less and a specific surface area of 110 to 500 m2/kg according to a gas adsorption method. The sintered compact has high intercommunicating porosity and low permeability, and it is sized to prepare the sintered bearing into which a lubricating oil is impregnated.

The present invention uses magnetic fluid as lubricating oil, and adopts, for enclosing the fluid, a method in which at the time of assembling a spindle motor, a permanent magnet is used, magnetic fluid of a specified amount is previously held in a bearing unit by the magnetic attraction force, and after the insertion of a shaft, the magnetic fluid is supplied into a narrow space of a bearing part by a capillary attraction.
