摘要： A power cam drive assembly for generating and delivering two different degrees of force serially to a body, the second force being greater than the first force. A main drive gear is coupled to a driven cam gear which is coupled to an outer cam shell. A cam core is nested within the cam shell for rotation along an eccentric path therewithin. The cam core has an axial extension also coupled to the driven cam gear. A windable clock spring located between the cam core and cam shell has one end secured to the cam core and the other end locked to the cam shell. A cam roller is disposed within the cam core. The clock spring has a greater rotational torque than required to rotate the cam core. The driven cam gear rotates, causing the cam shell to rotate, through the clock spring interconnection, causing rotaton of the cam core with attendant rotation of the cam roller which impacts on a cam stop in its path preventing further rotation of roller and cam core, causing the first force to be transmitted via a lever arranged to transmit the first force to the body. Further rotation of the cam shell causes the cam roller to move in a downward direction, winding the clock spring, resulting in further rotation of the cam core producing the second downward force for transmission to the body via the lever.

摘要： A releasable coupling especially for quick inter-changeable tool mounting purposes comprises a socket member, e.g. for mounting in a machine tool drive spindle and a spigot shown of taper form and received by a corresponding socket in the socket member. The socket member has a driving engagement with the spigot and a shank of the latter may consist of or carry any one of a variety of tooling. A collar movable between locking and release positions about the socket member has internal cam formation acting on retaining elements such as balls in bores through the socket member which balls engage an annular groove about the spigot to retain it in the socket. Release movement of the collar enables the balls to radially retract for withdrawal of the spigot. The collar is spring loaded towards the locking position and a spring loaded ball carried by the collar is arranged to engage a flange of the socket member to hold the collar in the release position which ball is disengaged by a flange of the spigot on full insertion of the latter into the socket in order to obtain automatic spring loaded turning of the collar to the locking position. The collar is retained in the locking position by spring loaded pawl and ratchet mechanism releasably by an externally operable plunger, i.e. when it is required to turn the collar to the release position.

摘要： A bag has a tubular edge portion defining an open end, the edge portion being defined by two elongate parts. Adhesive is disposed upon one of the parts and is adapted to grip the other of the parts. A strip extends from the open end to a terminus disposed interiorly of the bag, is adhesively secured to the one part in overlying relation to the adhesive and has apertures thereby defining areas of exposed adhesive. A lip has a release portion that extends from the terminus and is frangibly connected thereto, the release portion being disposed in overlying relation to the strip, to isolate the other of the parts from the areas of exposed adhesive and has an adhesive resistant surface to permit the lip to be detached via the frangible connection, thereby to permit closure by adhesion of said other of the parts to the areas of exposed adhesive.
