摘要: A package is provided for a catheter which comprises an elongate tube, having a proximal end and a distal end, for receiving a catheter shaft. The proximal end includes a sleeve element sized to accommodate one or more catheter shaft accessories located on the proximal end of the catheter, and a retainer portion for releasably retaining the catheter and catheter shaft accessories. The retainer portion is engageable with the sleeve element and is axially slidable relative thereto, between a storage state in which the retainer portion and the retained catheter shaft accessories are located substantially within the sleeve element and a usable state in which the retainer portion and the retained catheter shaft accessories are withdrawn from the sleeve element.

摘要: An assembly for packaging a catheter includes flexible tubing capable of being coiled, and tubular retainer having a passageway extending therethrough. The tubular retainer includes a distal section for coupling to a proximal end of the tubing. A proximal end of the tubular retainer includes an opening for receiving a luer of the catheter assembly. A keyway is provided at a proximal end of the tubular retainer, the keyway being adapted to receive an inflation port of the luer. The keyway may include a snap point at a proximal end thereof, wherein the snap point is dimensioned such that a force is required to pass the inflation port past the snap point, thereby resulting in a snap fit. The keyway may include an entry portion beginning at the proximal end of the tubular retainer, and a nose portion disposed distal of the entry portion, with a snap point disposed therebetween. Depending on the length of the entry portion, a portion of the luer may be protected by the tubular retainer. The snap point provides a snap fit for the luer within the tubular retainer.

摘要: The disclosure according to some exemplary embodiments relates generally to an infrastructure for electronic records (e.g., electronic medical records (EMRs), electronic health records (EHRs), and personal health records (PHRs)). The infrastructure allows the use, for example, of the electronic records and other information sources to determine drug and other treatment prices that may differ from listed prices based on various factors, such as approved indication treated, the organization and/or individual responsible for payment, whether and what other drug or drugs are used as part of the treatment regimen, a diagnosis and treatment plan, and responses to treatment, among other factors. Advantageously, in some embodiments, systems and methods using the infrastructure allows patients to receive lower drug and treatment prices tailored to the patients' needs and can increase patients' access to drugs and other treatments.

摘要: A method relating to the calibration of tuneable lasers is described. The method provides for the provision of correct control currents so as to achieve each of desired output frequencies from the laser. The correct currents are determined by forming a matrix of the output characteristics of the laser at specific tuning currents and processing that matrix to determine stable operating points within the matrix.

摘要: A gas fuel injector includes a first header plate; a second header plate spaced downstream from the upstream header plate; and a plurality of venturi tubes arranged in rows and sealably secured to the first and second header plates. Each of the venturi tubes includes an inlet section, a throat section and an exit. The exit is shaped into a pattern that reduces space between each of the venturi tubes at the exit of each of the plurality of venturi tubes.

摘要: The invention provides a method to compensate for degradation in a tunable laser and ensure its performance by tracking the degradation and adjusting the control information accordingly. This is accomplished by performing some measurements of the output of the tunable laser at an initial setup or calibration procedure. Then, by effecting a periodic repetition of these measurements and using a comparison between these two measurements the present invention provides for a compensation factor for the operating conditions, primarily in the form of a look up table of operating points of the laser. These measurements show how much the operating points of the laser have drifted over the period since the last set of measurements, which provide control informatIon to compensate for degradation in the laser.
