摘要: A sleeve allows insertion of an oil control valve, and is used by being inserted to an installation hole provided in a cylinder head cover. An outer surface of a sleeve main body of the sleeve is covered by a rubber-like elastic body layer. The rubber-like elastic body layer has a protrusion provided in the periphery of an oil hole provided in the sleeve main body in such a manner as to surround the oil hole. In accordance with the sleeve, it is possible to install the oil control valve to the cylinder head cover at a high oil tightness.

摘要: A valve case includes an attaching portion and a sleeve. The valve case is attached to a cylinder head cover main body formed of resin. The attaching portion is formed of resin and is a portion of the valve case to which an oil control valve is to be attached. The sleeve is embedded in the attaching portion, and has an interior space that permits the oil control valve to be accommodated therein and oil holes. Each oil hole is selectively connected to one of ports of the oil control valve accommodated in the interior space of the sleeve. The sleeve is formed of material having higher rigidity than the resin forming the attaching portion. Therefore, the valve case prevents deformation of the attaching portion.

摘要: A cylinder head cover covers a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine. The engine has a variable valve actuation mechanism and a control valve for controlling supply and drainage of hydraulic oil to and from the variable valve actuation mechanism. The cylinder head cover includes a cover main body fixed to the cylinder head and a valve case to which the control valve is attached. The valve case is caused to contact a side of the cover main body that corresponds to the cylinder head. Therefore, the cylinder head cover maintains a firm attachment of the valve case to the cylinder head.

摘要: A monolayer metal gasket is disclosed, which may be kept against deformation around a bolt hole and further made stable in sealing stress around a gas hole between mating surfaces of confronting components. A first extra thickness around the gas hole is provided by turning back a part of a metallic sheet on a major flat of the metallic sheet, with leaving a space open between them to form a folded construction having elasticity. A second extra thickness around a bolt hole is a closely layered construction of nearly rigid body little to be deformed. When the monolayer metal gasket is squeezed between the mating surfaces of the confronting components, a clearance between the mating surfaces may be regulated to a preselected distance by virtue of the second extra thickness that is little to be deformed.

摘要: In an oil pan inner tank valve structure, a disc-shaped float valve is arranged below a valve port that provides fluid communication between the inside and outside of a bottom wall of an inner tank, and a lower cover is arranged below the float valve. In addition, a center recess is depressed at a lower surface center of the float valve, and a lateral movement restricting pin is upright from the lower cover and is constantly engaged with the center recess by recess/protrusion engagement. The lower cover restricts a vertically movable range of the float valve. In addition, the lateral movement restricting pin restricts lateral movement of the float valve so that a top portion of an upper surface bulged portion vertically constantly faces an area inside a valve seat.

摘要: A cylinder head gasket 1 is sandwiched between a cylinder head 2 and a cylinder block 3 with a cylinder bore 4 and includes a substrate 10 with a combustion chamber hole 14 drilled at a position of the cylinder bore 4, and seal plates 11 to 13, the substrate 10 and the seal plates are stacked on one another. Fixation members 21 and 22 are secured to the substrate around a periphery of the combustion chamber hole. The seal plates include an engagement hole 23 formed therein and with which the fixation members are engaged. The engagement hole is engaged with the fixation members. The fixation members are sandwiched between the cylinder head and the cylinder block. The cylinder head and the cylinder block can be firmly coupled together via the fixation members.

Furthermore, two coupling beads 4b and 5b are provided at locations having disposed therebetween a centerline connecting the centers of the neighboring combustion chamber holes, and the two coupling beads 4b and 5b branch out from one full bead and join the other full bead and protrude in the same direction as the full beads.The water hole is disposed outside an area surrounded by the full beads and the coupling beads.When the neighboring full beads are distant from each other, cooling liquid can be blocked from flowing into an area formed between the full beads.
