Abstract:
An array of parameter setting images corresponding to a plurality of parameters, and a plurality of tab images for selecting any one of a plurality of groups formed by grouping the plurality of parameters. The tab images are displayed on a screen in an arrangement associated with the array of the parameter setting images corresponding to the parameters belonging to corresponding ones of the groups. The grouping of the parameters is made such that a portion of the parameters included in a given one of the groups is shared with another of the groups, and a portion of the tab image corresponding to the portion of the parameters shared with the other group is displayed in a display style to indicate the sharing. Upon selecting a tab image, the parameters corresponding to the selected tab image are allocated to individual ones of the plurality of operators.
Abstract:
In sequence data composed of a plurality of event sets with their execution sequence predefined, each of the event sets includes event data indicative of an event to be executed and trigger data defining timing for executing the event. Once a user manually instructs progression instructing operation while the individual events are being executed in accordance with the timing defined by the corresponding trigger data, the next event is executed immediately even before arrival of the next event execution timing. According to another aspect, the trigger data include trigger data of a first type that defines the event execution timing the event by use of an absolute time and trigger data of a second type that defines the event execution timing by use of a relative time between the events, and the sequence data may mixedly include the trigger data of the first and second types. Any one of the two time information can be used appropriately in accordance with characteristics of the individual events. For example, for one event having close relevancy to another event to be executed earlier than the one event, the relative time information is used.
Abstract:
A digital mixing system is provided in which a console section and an engine section that executes signal processing can operate consistently in accordance with control signals input to the console section and the engine section. The digital mixing system has a plurality of input signal systems and a plurality of output signal systems. Input signals from the input signal systems are subjected to a mixing process and the mixed signals are output to the output signal systems. In a console section, panel operating elements are used to input parameters relating to the mixing process, and a first control device generates a mixing control signal in response to operation of the panel operating elements or to a first control signal input via a first input terminal or a first communication interface, and outputs the mixing control signal to the first communication interface. In an engine section, a mixing processing device executes the above mixing process, and a second control device controls the mixing process executed by the mixing processing device in response to the mixing control signal input via a second communication interface and outputs a second control signal input via a second input terminal to the second communication interface. Communication lines connect between the first communication interface and the second communication interface.
Abstract:
There is provided a digital mixer including a plurality of functional blocks each having a CPU and a control program executed by the CPU which is capable of properly and easily controlling the version of the control program operated by the CPU of each functional block. When the power of the digital mixer is turned on, the respective versions of the functional blocks are acquired. Matching of the acquired versions of the functional blocks with the reference version is checked. When the checked versions of the functional blocks all match the reference version, the operation of the digital mixer is continued, and when at least one of the checked versions of the functional blocks mismatches the reference version, a warning is given to the user.
Abstract:
There are displayed an array of parameter setting images (e.g., virtual operator images) corresponding to a plurality of parameters, and a plurality of tab images for selecting any one of a plurality of groups formed by grouping the plurality of parameters. The plurality of tab images correspond to the plurality of groups and are displayed on a screen in an arrangement associated with the array of the parameter setting images corresponding to the parameters belonging to corresponding ones of the groups. The grouping of the parameters is made in such a manner that a portion of the parameters included in a given one of the groups is shared with another of the groups, and a portion of the tab image corresponding to the portion of the parameters shared with the other group is displayed in a display style capable of indicating that the portion of the parameters is shared. Once any one of the tab images is selected, the parameters included in the group corresponding to the selected tab image is allocated to individual ones of the plurality of operators.
Abstract:
In order to set in advance, for each scene, setting data that should belong to (or should not belong to) a recall range, a predetermined recall setting window is displayed for a current data set representing current settings of a mixing system. Buttons in a parameter selection section correspond to parameters of each channels belonging to the current data set, and the buttons can turned on and off. When the current data set is to be recorded as a scene data set, settings of the recall setting window are also stored as part of the current data set. When the scene is to be recalled, only setting data of parameters, having been set as data belonging to the recall range, are recalled. Also, editing of a channel name is permitted in order to perform optimal name display for channel strips of the system in accordance with a form of use of the system.

Abstract:
Mixer includes first and second displays each capable of displaying a pop-up screen that simultaneously displays pieces of information of eight channels. Once a display instruction for displaying a pop-up screen is received, it is ascertained whether or not the pop-up screen currently instructed to be displayed can be displayed on both of the first and second displays. If the pop-up screen can be displayed on only one of the displays, the currently instructed pop-up screen and one-screen channel selection switch are displayed on the one display together with. If, on the other hand, the pop-up screen can be displayed on both of the displays, the instructed pop-up screen are displayed on in a two-screen format on individual ones of the displays, and a two-screen channel selection switch is displayed on each one of the pop-up screens.
Abstract:
On a digital mixer, each channel is given a channel definition defining whether the channel is to be used individually or to be used as a group along with a certain channel. When a channel strip to which a user desires to assign and a channel which the user desires to assign are selected, it is determined whether the selected channel is a channel to be used individually or to be used as a group. When it is determined that the selected channel is to be used as a group, channels belonging to the group are assigned to the selected channel strip so that the user can concurrently control respective channels' values of a parameter by use of an operating element provided on the selected channel strip.
Abstract:
In a digital mixer, a standard mode or a switched mode of an input patch is selectable. When shifting from the standard mode to the switched mode is selected, input port information in input patch data stored in a current memory is converted according to a port correspondence relation indicated by conversion data. When shifting from the switched mode to the standard mode is selected, the input port information in the input patch data stored in the current memory is reversely converted to original information according to the port correspondence relation indicated by the conversion data.
