    摘要: The display device is provided with X electrodes XP and Y electrodes YP which cross with a first insulating layer in between and a number of Z electrodes which are electrically floating from each other with a second insulating layer in between. The Z electrodes are arranged so that each Z electrode overlaps both an adjacent X electrode and Y electrode. The pad portion of a first X electrode has such a form that the area is maximum in the vicinity of the fine wire portion of the first X electrode and the area is minimum in the vicinity of the fine wire portion of an adjacent second X electrode, and the area of the pad portion is smaller towards the direction in which the distance increases away from the vicinity of the fine wire portion of the first X electrode. A pulse signal is sequentially applied to one set of X electrodes or Y electrodes.

    摘要: An electrostatic capacitive coupling-type touch panel is provided which interacts not only with a finger-based input but also with a touch using non-conductive input means. The touch panel includes coordinate detection electrodes for detecting XY position coordinates and transparent Z electrodes. The Z electrodes are arranged over the coordinate detection electrodes at certain intervals with spacers disposed therebetween. An elastic layer that is deformed along the shape of the spacers by compressive force resulting from touch pressing presses the Z electrodes.

    摘要: A display device having an electrostatic capacity touch panel includes: X electrodes XP and Y electrodes YP which intersect each other via a first insulating layer; and a plurality of Z electrodes disposed in a floating state via a second insulating layer. For the second insulating layer, a material such as an elastic insulating material which changes in thickness by pressing of touch is used. The Z electrode is disposed so as to overlap both one of the X electrodes and one of the Y electrodes. A pad part of the X electrode has a largest area in the vicinity of a thin line part of the X electrode, and a smallest area in the vicinity of the thin line part of the adjacent X electrode. An area of the pad part is reduced as the pad part departs from the thin line part of the X electrode.

    摘要: A detection resolution is improved in a display device that employs an electrostatic capacity coupling type touch panel provided with a transparent conductive film serving as a detection film. A plurality of electrode terminals (102) is provided such that at least three electrode terminals (102) are aligned in each side of a detection transparent conductive film (101). A touch panel control circuit is provided for selecting one of two to four numbers of electrode terminals from among the plurality of electrode terminals (102) of the detection transparent conductive film (101), applying an AC signal provided from a signal source (105) through a current detection resistor (r) (103), and then detecting a current that flows through each of the selected electrode terminals.

    摘要: A TFT element for ambient light detection and a TFT element for temperature detection are connected in series. In a first period, a first switch element is off, and a second switch element is at a hi side, so that a threshold voltage of the TFT element for temperature detection is detected. In a second period, a first switch element is on, and a second switch element is at a low side, so that temperature is detected. In a third period, a first switch element is on, and a second switch element is at a hi side, so that ambient light is detected. An input voltage and a control voltage to each of the TFT elements are set by a voltage controller provided in a drive circuit based on the threshold voltage.
