摘要: An organic EL element comprises a cathode, an EL layer of organic compound, a first hole transport layer of organic compound, a second hole transport layer of organic compound and an anode which are laminated in sequence, wherein the second hole transport layer is made of a substance represented by the following chemical formula 1: ##STR1## where R each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a halogen group, a cyano group, a nitro group, a primary, secondary or tertiary amino group, or an aryl group of from 6 to 15 carbon atoms. This organic EL element prevents a leakage current and emits light stably for a long time.

摘要: An organic electroluminescent device having an organic emitting layer and a hole transport layer laminated with each other and arranged between a cathode and an anode, and the hole transport layer is made of tris-phenothiazinyl-triphenylamine or tris-phenoxazinyl-triphenylamine derivative. The hole transport layer has a high heat-resistant property and high conductivity to improve durability and emits light at a high luminance and a high efficiency upon application of a low voltage.

摘要: The invention provides an organo-electronic functional material comprising a tris(arylamino)benzene represented by the general formula (I) wherein A and B are each a group represented by the general formula (II) in which R is an alkyl group of 1-6 carbons or a cycloalkyl group of 5 or 6 carbon atoms and n is 0, 1, 2 or 3, and A and B may be the same or different from each other, and exhibiting a cyclic voltamogram in which a deviation of peak current of cyclic curves as measured 50 times at a sweep rate of 20 mV/s falls within ±10% of the average of peak current. The organo-electronic functional material has an opto-electronic exchanging function, a reversible oxidation-reduction property and a high glass transition temperature, and can form amorphous film in itself. In addition, it is stable and exhibits only slight variation of peak current in repeated oxidation-reduction process so that it is suitable for use as, for example, a hole transporting material among others in various electronic devices including an organic electroluminescence element.

摘要: The invention provides 1,3,5-tris(arylamino)benzenes represented by the general formula (I) wherein A is naphthyl, anthryl, phenanthryl, biphenylyl or terphenylyl group, and R is alkyl having 1-6 carbon atoms or cycloalkyl group having five or six carbon atoms. The 1,3,5-tris(arylamino)benzenes have oxidation potentials in the range of about 0.5-0.6V, excellent reversibility in oxidation-reduction process and high glass transition temperatures and in addition, they are capable of forming stable and durable amorphous film useful as high performance organic semiconductors at normal temperatures or higher with no aid of binder resins, that is, by themselves.

The organic layer (in particular, a hole-transporting layer) has a polymer of a vinyl compound represented by the following formula (1): wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different, each representing a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkoxy group. The glass transition temperature of the polymer is about 200 to 250° C., and the polymer has high heat-resistance. Thus, the use of the polymer improves heat resistance of an organic EL device.
