    摘要: An aneurysm closure clip along with a system and method for use by a physician in delivering the closure clip into the vasculature of a patient is disclosed. The closure clip delivery system comprises a delivery tube in the form of a catheter, a guide wire, and a detachable closure clip. The closure clip includes a proximal side and a distal side. The distal side comprises at least two winged elements that interact with the wall of the body vessel to hold the clip in place after delivery. The proximal side includes a seal element and a guide bar. The guide bar is in communication with the guide wire during delivery. The seal element forms a barrier between the aneurysm and the rest of the body vessel, thereby, reducing any pressure exerted on the aneurysm. The seal element and optionally the winged elements include a material layer comprised of bioremodelable material, such as an extracellular matrix material (ECM).

The distal second segment may be deflectable away from a linear configuration relative to the proximal first segment. A needle tip may be provided at a distal end of the distal second segment. At least a portion of the cannula may be received within a lumen of the catheter. The method also may include deflecting the distal second segment in the right atrium to a deflected configuration by actuating a mechanism at a proximal end of the cannula to align the needle tip with a target point on the interatrial septum.

    摘要: A prosthesis system for repair of a transected body vessel is provided. The system can include first and second prostheses each including a tubular graft body and a support structure. Each prosthesis can be expandable between a compressed and an expanded configuration. In the expanded configuration, outer surfaces of the first and second prostheses can engage walls of the body vessel. The system can include a sleeve member formable into a tubular body. The first and second prostheses can be coupled to one another at a joint to form a coupled prosthesis. The sleeve member can receive the coupled prosthesis and cover the joint to inhibit leakage therefrom. The prosthesis system can connect first and second portions of the body vessel to permit blood flow therethrough. The sleeve member can be discrete to the coupled prosthesis or can have one end fixedly attached to the coupled prosthesis.

    摘要: A medical device for draining a fluid from the body of a patient includes a tubular member having an open distal end that resides interiorly of the body of a patient and a proximal end that extends exteriorly of the body of the patient. The tubular member has an inner surface extending between the distal end and the proximal end, wherein the inner surface defines a lumen. An interior member is disposed in the lumen and extends along a length of the inner surface. The interior member is engaged with the inner surface such that a chamber is defined therebetween. A conduit is engaged with the tubular member for transmission of an inflation fluid to selectively vary a dimension of the chamber for freeing clogged debris in the lumen.
