Abstract: A communication method is to be performed by a user equipment in a mobile communication system providing multicast broadcast services (MBS). The communication method includes: receiving a predetermined system information block (SIB) that may include frequency information indicating a correspondence relationship between an identifier of an MBS service and a frequency for providing the MBS service from a serving cell; generating an MBS interest indication including a list indicating a frequency of interest being an MBS frequency that a user equipment is receiving or is interested in receiving; and transmitting the MBS interest indication to the serving cell. The user equipment includes the frequency of interest in the list when the frequency of interest is indicated in upper layer information, even when the frequency of interest is not included in the predetermined SIB.

Abstract: In an aspect, a communication control method is a communication control method in a mobile communication system configured to perform a first communication on a direct link between a remote user equipment and a base station and a second communication on an indirect link between the remote user equipment and the base station via a relay user equipment. The communication control method includes transmitting, by the base station, to the remote user equipment, association information associating a PDCP entity with an RLC entity for the direct link and an SRAP entity for the indirect link. The communication control method includes associating, by the remote user equipment, the PDCP entity with the RLC entity and the SRAP entity in accordance with the association information.

Abstract: User equipment, a system and a method perform a predetermined data transmission in which the user equipment transmits uplink user data when the user equipment is in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state. The user equipment, apparatus and method receive from a network node, a first timer value for a RRC connection resume procedure without the predetermined data transmission and a second timer value for a RRC connection resume procedure with the predetermined data transmission, transmit to the network node during a random access procedure, a random access preamble, start a timer configured with the second timer value in response to transmitting a RRC resume message together with the uplink user data, and in response to the timer being expired, determine that the predetermined data transmission is failed.

Abstract: The methods and systems discussed herein describe how a first wireless communication device forwards a reservation signal, which identifies one or more time-slots that have been reserved by a second wireless communication device, to avoid “merging collisions.” In some examples, the first wireless communication device determines that it should forward the reservation signal based on a determination that the first wireless communication device is located at the edge of a coverage area associated with the second wireless communication device. This determination can be based on location information associated with the second wireless communication device or whether a received power value of the reservation signal is within a pre-defined threshold range value. In other examples, the first wireless communication device transmits an updated forwarded reservation signal, which is an update of a previously forwarded reservation signal in which multiple time-slots were reserved.

Abstract: A relay user equipment (UE) device transmits a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection status indicator indicating the RRC connection status of the relay UE device to a serving base station. The RRC connection status indicator may be used by a remote UE device to manage relay communication to the base station. In one example, a remote UE device in direct communication with the base station transmits a measurement report to the base station where the measurement report includes measurements only for relay UE devices reporting a RRC connected (RRC CONN) status. The base station manages direct to indirect communication switching at least partially based on the measurement report. In another example, a remote UE device manages relay reselection using a relay candidate prioritization at least partially based on the connection status of candidate relay UE devices.
