Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for controlling a laundry treating apparatus including a first course for rotating washing water and laundry which are loaded in a drum, in a state where a drainage pump is off and a first spinning course for eliminating water elements from the laundry loaded in the drum after the first course, accelerating the drum, wherein the first spinning course comprises a preparing course for rotating the drum, in a state where the drainage pump is off and a drainage course for draining the washing water inside the drum, in a state where the drainage pump is off.
