    摘要: The port plate of a rotary hydraulic pump or motor has passages between one end of each port and the face of the plate against which the rotary cylinder block of the pump bears. One of the passages has a high resistance to flow from its associated port and the other passage has a high resistance to flow to its associated port. The passages permit a controlled flow between the ports and the pump cylinders prior to full communication therebetween.

    摘要: A fuel control system for a gas turbine engine has a metering valve positioned by a control fluid pressure from a device actuated by fuel pressure in response to air pressure signals obtained from the engine compressor. These pressure signals are applied to bellows units which operate through linkages to vary the effective areas of flow restrictions and thereby to provide variations in the control pressure.

    摘要: An hydraulic machine comprising a body, a member rotatably mounted in the body about a fixed axis, a plurality of pistons connected to the member by respective universal joints, a rotor having a plurality of bores within which the pistons are slidably engaged, the opposite end of the rotor from which the pistons enter being in facial contact with a ported surface on a part which is angularly movable in the body, about an axis which is inclined to the axis of the member, and is also inclined with respect to a plane which is perpendicular to said surface, angular movement of the part varying the strokes of the pistons, and the center of the surface coinciding with the axis of the rotation of the rotor, and being offset from the axis about which the part is angularly movable.

    摘要: A hydraulic pump or motor, of the type which operates by the meshing of gears, has a pair of meshed bevel gears. The housing of the pump or motor has ports on either side of the zone where the teeth are in mesh. Within the zone where the teeth are out of mesh there is an arrangement for closing off the spaces between the teeth. Fluid under pressure is admitted to the bearing surfaces of the gears so as to oppose loads applied to the gears by the operating hydraulic fluid pressure.

    摘要: An hydraulic control system for hydraulic automatic transmission systems of the kind including a pump and motor of piston type and a common ported member having a pair of ports through which air flows between the pump and the motor, the control system being arranged to move the common ported member angularly by means of a piston and cylinder type servo device, admission of fluid to the servo device being controlled from an auxiliary engine driven positive displacement type pump by a valve in the passage means leading to the servo cylinder, the passage means being controlled in accordance with whichever of the two pressures in the two ports of the ported member is lower through a relief valve, the arrangement being such that the pressure from the auxiliary pump is applied to said valve in the passage means to allow entry of fluid at the pressure of the lower of the two ports to enter the cylinder of the servo device to control the angular position of the ported member, and thus to control the strokes of the pump and motor.
