    摘要: The primary function of the optional handler is to make plates available on demand to the imaging engine. A multitude of plates are stored inside cassettes and these cassettes are loaded into the handler. There may be up to four cassettes residing in the handler. Inside a cassette there may be a protective interleaf sheet, sometimes called a slip sheet, between each plate which is removed by the handler and discarded. The handler receives commands from the engine control sequencer which provides instructions as to what cassette needs to be accessed to make a plate available to the picker mechanism so the plate may be conveyed to the imaging engine. Conversely the handler provides status information to the engine to make full interaction with the system possible.

    摘要: A three-phase ac power inverter incorporating circuits which operate to correct input power factor to near unity when connected to an ac input rectifier, while also reducing input harmonic distortion. The inverter includes a dc capacitor connected between buses, and three, four-pole inverter H-configuration bridges which output ac phases A, B and C. The cross-bar of each H-bridge is made up of an L-C filter. The inverter bridge switches, switching in an output Pulse Width Modulation mode for generating three phase sine waves, also serve to pump resonant energy between the L-C filter in each bridge and the dc capacitor. Phase A, B and C inverter bridges are pumped at the same carrier frequency, providing a continuous feed to the dc capacitor and the input rectifier. In effect, this action extends the conduction angle of the input rectifier, resulting in the input power factor being corrected to near unity. The pumping action through the L-C filters also filters and reduces the input harmonic distortion.

    摘要: A missing phase detector circuit which monitors the ac three-phase output voltages of power equipment or sources and produces an output signal in the event a missing ac phase is detected. The circuit reduces the monitored phase voltages to low values and produces an ac ripple voltage waveform where each ripple represents a phase. An analyzer circuit examines the ac ripple voltage waveform for its zero crossings and produces a pulsed dc waveform where the width of the pulses is normally small. If any of the pulses is found to be wide, indicating a missing phase, a positive high signal is output by an AND gate. This output signal may be used to initiate illumination of a "Missing Phase" indicator or it may be used for equipment control purposes. Provision is made to prevent a false output signal when there is no input power. The circuit is not sensitive to frequency, power factor or unbalanced loads. Brown-outs (low ac voltages) do not affect the analyzer portion which looks only at ac ripple zero crossing points and not at amplitudes. The circuit components are low power, low in stress and few in number. Thus the circuit has high reliability.

    摘要: A stuffed spiral link fabric, providing a supporting surface for transporting a web includes a plurality of synthetic spiral coil members connected together serially by elongated hinge members extending through intermeshed portions of adjacent intermeshing spiral coil members to form a spiral link fabric and a plurality of elongated shaped synthetic stuffer yarns extending through central portions of the spiral coil members to form a stuffed spiral link fabric. The stuffed spiral link fabric is heat set to form a fabric in which each spiral coil member has a cross sectional shape having arcuate ends joined by substantially straight portions and a central portion of each spiral coil member is substantially filled with a stuffer yarn which engages and is clamped to each intermeshed portion adjacent thereto, reducing the air and moisture permeability of the fabric and increasing the fabric stability. The stuffer yarn is modified in shape and trapped in place in the spiral fabric by the heat setting step. A method for making the heat set stuffed spiral link fabric is described.
