    摘要： A system and method for the installation and removal of monitoring equipment is disclosed. In some embodiments, the monitoring equipment may be installed or removed using a remotely operated vehicle. In certain implementations, the monitoring system includes a sensor assembly connectable to a tubular member, an alignment tool for installing or removing the sensor assembly to and from the tubular member, and an alignment cage for facilitating access of the alignment tool to the sensor assembly. In some embodiments, the alignment tool may be aligned with the sensor assembly for installation or removal as a result of the alignment tool being inserted through the alignment cage.

    摘要： A system and a method for configuring distributed network content in real time are disclosed. The system comprises a network, a plurality of user terminals and at least fist and second servers, all being connected to the network. The first server stores network content and distributes it according to network requests of remote user terminals. Each user terminal communicates data representative of user interaction with at least a portion of the network content to the second server, at which it is stored. The second server processes the stored data into respective network content-configuring data for each user terminal and the first server distributes next network content to each user terminal according to the respective network content-configuring data received from the at least second server.

    摘要： A cabinet having a plurality of rack mountable chassis. One portion of such chassis has directors and electrically interconnected memory and another portion of such chassis having a plurality of disk drives. The plurality of chassis are electrically interconnected to provide a data storage system interface. The another portion of the cabinets includes therein a printed circuit board having plugged into a surface thereof a plurality of disk drives. The cabinet includes a plurality of rack mountable chassis. A first one of such chassis has a memory and a plurality of directors for controlling data transfer between a host computer/server and a bank of disk drives as such data passes through the memory. A first plurality of the directors are for coupling to the host computer/server. A second plurality of the directors are for coupling to a bank of disk drives. A second one of such chassis has a plurality of disk drives, such disk drives being plugged into a surface of a printed circuit board. Electrical conductors are provided for connecting the disk drives in the second chassis to the second plurality of directors in the first chassis.

    摘要： A fiber channel, interconnecting a plurality of disk drive loops and associated high speed bypass switches, has a selected group of high speed bypass switches to modularize the fiber channel and to reduce electrical signal jitter on the channel. More particularly, the fiber channel loop has a first group of bypass switches being connected to either connect an associated disk drive to the loop or to electrically isolate the loop from the associated disk drive, and a second group of the bypass switches is then connected, in a first operating state, to connect a group of disk drives and their respective associated bypass switches for electrical signal communications with disk drive controller, and in a second operating state, for electrically isolating the group of disk drives and their respective associated bypass switches from communications with the controller. The disk drives and their associated bypass switches can be modularly added to the fiber channel configuration by employing the second group of bypass switches as high speed controllable gateways.
