摘要： A silver halide photographic emulsion comprising grains, wherein 50% or more (numerical ratio) of all the grains are occupied by tabular grains meeting the requirements (i) to (iii): (i) a silver iodobromide or silver iodochlorobromide tabular grain having (111) faces as main planes and having two parallel twin planes; (ii) a thickness of 0.12 &mgr;m or less; and (iii) the tabular grains have a grain fringe portion meeting the requirements: (a) the grain fringe portion has a phase of high silver iodide content in either of an upper region and a lower region than a region sandwiched between the two twin planes, and (b) “A”, which represents the maximum local silver iodide content (mol %) in the phase of high silver iodide content, satisfies the relationship: A−6.0≧B, wherein “B” represents local silver iodide content (mol %) in an opposite part to the phase of high silver iodide content.

摘要： A silver halide photographic emulsion comprising epitaxial junction type tabular grains. The epitaxial junction type tabular grains each satisfying the following requirements (i) to (iv) occupy 100 to 50% (grain numerical ratio) of all the grains contained in the silver halide photographic emulsion: (i) host tabular grain is a tabular grain of silver iodobromide or silver iodochlorobromide having {111} faces as main planes and two parallel twin planes; (ii) at least one silver halide epitaxial portion is formed, per grain, only on a corner portion of the host tabular grain; (iii) a portion of an external surface of the silver halide epitaxial portion has a face parallel to the main plane of the host tabular grain; and (iv) a portion of an external surface of the silver halide epitaxial portion has a {100} face.

摘要： A silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a green-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a red-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the silver halide color photographic material contains at least one kind of pyrazoloazole type magenta coupler represented by the general formula (I) described below and the total coating amount of silver in the photographic material is 0.75 g/m.sup.2 or less. ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; X represents a hydrogen atom or a group capable of being released upon a coupling reaction with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine developing agent; Za, Zb and Zc each represents a methine group, a substituted methine group, .dbd.N-- or --NH--, one of the Za-Zb bond and the Zb-Zc bond being a double bond and the other being a single bond; when the Zb-Zc bond is a carbon-carbon double bond, the Zb-Zc bond may be a part of a condensed aromatic ring; R.sup.1 or X may also form a polymer including a dimer or more; and when Za, Zb or Zc is a substituted methine group, the substituted methine group may form a polymer including a dimer or more.The silver halide color photographic material provides color images having improved color reproducibility and preservability and is excellent in processing stability.

摘要： The invention provides a black and white photothermographic material including, on at least one surface of a support, at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder, wherein 50% or more of the total projected area of the photosensitive silver halide grains is occupied by tabular grains having an aspect ratio of 2 or more, and at least one apex portion of each tabular grain has an epitaxial junction. An image forming method is also provided, the method including bringing the photothermographic material into close contact with a fluorescent intensifying screen containing a fluorescent substance, wherein 50% or more of emission light of the fluorescent substance has a wavelength of 350 nm to 420 nm, and applying X-ray exposure. The black and white photothermographic material has high sensitivity and is superior in image storability and raw stock storability.

摘要： The present inventioin calls for a silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one silver halide photographic emulsion layer containing a dispersion of oleophilic fine particles containing at least one diffusion resistant oil-soluble coupler which forms a substantially nondiffusible dye upon coupling with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine developing agent and at least one water-immiscible coupler solvent having a melting point of not more than 100.degree. C. and a boiling point of not less than 140.degree. C., wherein said oil-soluble coupler is represented by formula (Cp-I), (Cp-II) or (Cp-III) the dispersion of oleophilic fine particles is a dispersion obtained by emulsifying or dispersing a mixture containing at least one of the above couplers, at least one of the above coupler solvents and at least one water-insoluble and organic solvent-soluble homopolymer or copolymer composed of at least one repeating unit which does not have an acid group in the main chain or side chain thereof.The silver halide color photographic material can provide dye images, the prevention from light fading and dark fading of which is well balanced, and which exhibit excellent image preservability when exposed to high temperature and high humidity as well as when exposed to light.

摘要： A process for processing a silver halide color photographic material is disclosed which comprises processing a silver halide color photographic material containing at least one compound represented by formula (I) or (II): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, or a heterocyclic group; A represents a group forming a chemical bond by reaction with an aromatic primary amine color developing agent; n represents 0 or 1; X represents a group released on reaction with an aromatic primary amine color developing agent; B represents a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, a heterocyclic group, an acyl group, or a sulfonyl group; and Y represents a group accelerating the addition of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent to the compound of formula (II), and said R.sub.1 and X or said Y and R.sub.2 or B may combine with each other to form a ring, with a color developer prepared by diluting a concentrated color developer composition containing from 90 ml/liter to 600 ml/liter of benzyl alcohol and from 0.07 mol/liter to 0.5 mol/liter of an aromatic primary amine color developing agent.

摘要： A color photographic material is disclosed. The material is comprised of a support base having thereon a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a compound associated with the emulsion layer, the compound being represented by general formula (I) ##STR1## wherein the substituents are defined in the specification. The dye image-forming compounds forming metal chelates have good absorption when the dye forms a color image. Further, these compounds have a large molecular absorption coefficient and are substantially stable with respect to light after forming a color image.

摘要： A silver halide photographic emulsion comprises silver iodochlorobromide tabular grains each having (111) faces as main planes thereof. 70% or more of the total projected area of all the grains contained in the emulsion is occupied by grains each meeting conditions (i) to (iv): (i) a hexagonal tabular grain whose ratio of the length of an edge having the maximum length with respect to the length of an edge having the minimum length, is 2 or less; (ii) an epitaxial junction portion having a silver chloride content of 5 mol % or more and 25 mol % or less, is provided on at least one apex portion of the hexagon; (iii) a silver chloride content thereof is 0.5 mol % or more and 6 mol % or less; and (iv) a silver iodide content thereof is 0.5 mol % or more and 10 mol % or less.
