摘要： Methods and systems are provided herein for a user to edit audio or video content to further obtain a desired edited content and immediately preview an edited content. In accordance with a method of the present invention, audio or video content is received and displayed as a signal waveform. The method further includes user inputs to edit the content wherein the user inputs determine the regions of one or more cropped regions and one or more active regions and previews the active regions of the active region. Additionally, the method provides an immediate preview of the edited audio or video content.

摘要： The present automatic update mechanism provides a method for determining whether computer-readable components loaded within a memory device are at a level of protection specified for protected content that a media application is attempting to process. If a current level of protection provides lower protection that the level specified, a file is updated to achieve at least the level of protection specified by the protected content. Updating the file to achieve the level of protection is performed in a manner that minimizes rebooting of a computing device.

摘要： Many current computer software platforms support user customization and version upgradability. Unfortunately, upgrading a computer software platform may result in significant loss of user customization data. Additionally, it may be advantageous for users to export and import their customization data to share as customized business solutions with other instances of the computer software platforms. Accordingly, a technique for creating and importing a configuration package and a technique for creating and utilizing an update package is disclosed herein. The configuration package allows configuration data of elements within a computer software platform to be exported and imported. The update package allows elements to be exported within the update package. The update package may be utilized in upgrading, overwriting, and/or creating a new instance of elements. When an existing element is upgraded with an update element within the update package, the existing element's original configuration may be retained.

摘要： Dynamic redirection of streaming media between computing devices is described. In an implementation, a method listening at an application programming interface for a notification indicating that a change is to be made in a topology of streaming media software components. When the notification is received, a media engine that is capable of reconfiguring the topology in accordance with the indicated change is notified. At least one of the topology or the reconfigured topology have one of the streaming media software components located on a comprising device and another one of the streaming media software components located on another computing device.

摘要： The present automatic update mechanism provides a method for periodically checking for updates to support a trusted environment. During the periodic check, an indication from an update service is received if there is a recommended update. Upon receiving the indication, a new revocation list is downloaded from the update service and saved as a pending revocation list. The pending revocation list is then available for on-demand update when protected content requests a higher level of protection on a computing device than the protection provided by a current level of protection on the computing device.

The method further streams a media component for presentation on the remote client in combination with the user-interface component and wherein the media presentation is tracked but not displayed by the server.
