摘要: Aspects of a method and system for coexistence between 20 MHz and 40 MHz OBSSes in WLANs. Aspects of a system may include a receiving device, such as a WLAN station (STA), which enables reception of an information frame, such as a management frame, via a wireless communication medium. The receiving device may be associated with a wireless network device group, such as a basic service set (BSS). The information frame received by the receiving device may transmitted by a transmitting device, such as a transmitting access point (AP), which is associated with a foreign wireless network device group, for example a foreign BSS. The receiving device may be reconfigured to restrict RF channel bandwidth utilized for transmitting and/or receiving signals via the wireless communication medium based on the received information frame.

Various aspects of the system may include a wireless network interface subsystem that enables transcoding of at least a portion of a data packet received by the wireless network interface subsystem. The wireless network interface subsystem may enable transfer of the transcoded portion of the data packet from the wireless network interface subsystem to a wired network interface subsystem that is communicatively coupled thereto. The transcoded portion of the data packet may be compliant with a format utilized by the wired network interface subsystem.

摘要: A method and apparatus for accessing, controlling and utilizing a network communication medium. Various aspects of the present invention may comprise a first networked device with power-save capability. The first networked device may acquire control of a communication medium utilizing a medium access protocol, which may be contention-based. The first networked device may utilize the communication medium to communicate information to a second networked device. The first networked device may transfer control of the communication medium to the second networked device, whereby the second networked device may control the communication medium without having to acquire control of the communication medium by utilizing the medium access protocol. The second networked device may utilize the communication medium to communicate information to the first networked device while maintaining control over the communication medium. The second networked device may have buffered such information for delayed delivery to the first networked device.

摘要: Aspects of a method and system for medium access control (MAC) layer specialization for voice and multimedia data streams are presented. Aspects of the method include determining a number of attempts for transmitting one or more medium access control (MAC) frames. Aspects of the system may include a processor that enables determination of a number of attempts for transmitting one or more MAC frames. A maximum number for such attempts may be determined based on one or more priority levels associated with different portions of multimedia information being communicated via a wireless medium and contained within the one or more MAC frames.

摘要: An RF transceiver includes a baseband processing module, a transmitter section, and a receiver section. The baseband processing module convert outbound data into a plurality of outbound symbol streams, wherein each of the plurality of outbound symbol streams is outputted as one or more frames, wherein a frame of the one or more frames includes a setup portion and a data portion, wherein the set up portion includes at least one of a training sequence field and a signal field, and wherein the set up portion is formatted in accordance with one of a plurality of protocols. The baseband processing module further converts a plurality of inbound symbol streams into inbound data. The transmitter section converts the plurality of the outbound symbol streams into a plurality of outbound RF signals. The receiver section converts a plurality of inbound RF signals into the plurality of inbound symbol streams.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for handling pending interrupt vectors of a pending interrupt list is disclosed. The method includes batch-reading the set of pending interrupt vectors into a working list of working interrupt vectors. The method also includes performing interrupt handling of the working interrupt vectors using an interrupt handling arrangement until the working list is empty. The interrupt handling process permits a first incoming interrupt vector that is received by the pending interrupt list after the batch reading to temporarily interrupt the performing interrupt handling of the working interrupt vectors and to be handled on a priority basis by the interrupt handling arrangement if a priority level of the first incoming interrupt vector is higher than a priority level of a first working interrupt vector being currently handled by the interrupt handling arrangement.
