A method of preventing or limiting accumulation of precipitation on an antenna by use of such antenna heating apparatus is also provided.

    摘要: A method for creating mailpieces from a single web of printed material. The web of printed material includes printed matter to be used on envelopes, and other printed matter to be used on mail content to be included in the envelopes. The content pages are rectangular in shape and may be oriented relative to the envelope sheets in a number of different configurations. In some configurations, two sets of content pages and/or envelope sheets can be printed across the width of the web. The method starts with cutting consecutive sections of the web into separated sheets. Some of the separated sheets are envelope sheets including envelope printed matter, and some of the sheets are mail content sheets including mail content printed matter. The method includes cutting variable sized sheets depending on whether a sheet is a mail content sheet, or an envelope sheet. The method further includes cutting variable sized envelope sheets depending on the size of the mailpieces. In a preferred embodiment, the web includes business return envelopes (BREs). The BRE sheets are transported to an envelope creation path and in the envelope creation path where the sheets are formed into envelopes. The envelope creation path is then merged back with a content processing path whereby finished BRE's are stacked with their respective accumulations of folded content sheets to form a complete content stack. BRE's are then enclosed with the content sheets by the enclosing envelope sheets.

    摘要: A universal 6-DOF mems sensor combined with six degree of motion algorithms and human motion parameters permits individualized real time motion analysis of a user to enable accurate measurements. Data derived thereby is wirelessly sent for viewing to a Bluetooth® enabled smartphone or combination smartphone and eyeglass device, such as the Google Glass® headset. The sensor is worn on a wrist or ankle band or in combination with a chest mounted cardio heart rate monitor dependent on the biometric parameters measured. Typical physical exercise data gathered includes reps, sets, 10-100 yard dash times, vertical, horizontal and broad jump distances, a range of shuttle times, RAST, steps taken, distance traveled, velocity, acceleration, and calories burned. The heart rate monitor provides cardio assessment and the 6-DOF sensor measures a runner's pace and cadence data.

    摘要: A remote temperature sensor includes a microwave oscillator which generatesn output signal having a frequency which is proportional to the temperature of the environment in which it is located. The oscillator includes a relatively high transition temperature superconducting (HTSC) ring coupled to a transistor in a plurality of microstrip line oscillator configurations including those of a reaction oscillator, a transmission oscillator, a reflection oscillator and a parallel feedback oscillator. The superconducting ring operates below its transition temperature and in so doing, acts as a high Q resonator whose resonant frequency is proportional to temperature.

    摘要: An ambient condition sensor is embodied in an oscillator which generates an output signal having a frequency which is proportional to the ambient condition of the environment in which it is located. The oscillator includes a ring resonator consisting of a metallic ring located in the output plane of a grounded source gallium arsenide MESFET type transistor oscillator formed on a temperature sensitive dielectric substrate. The circumference of the ring is directly related to the ring resonator's resonant frequency. More particularly, the circumference of the ring is a multiple of the wavelength of the oscillator's output signal. Such a device permits unmanned, remote and inexpensive temperature sensing in places generally unsuited for operator presence.
