    摘要: Described herein are microprocessors, devices, and methods useful for sweat and/or temperature detection that correlate more closely with changes in amperometric or charge signals related to analyte amount or concentration. The present invention provides methods for the establishment of more accurate sweat and/or temperature thresholds and new methods of compensation, such as correcting for the effects of sweat and rapidly changing temperature on measured analyte values. The present invention reduces the number of skipped or unuseable readings provided by analyte monitoring devices during periods of sweating or changing temperatures. Further, the present invention provides methods for improving the accuracy of reported readings of analyte amount or concentration. In one aspect, the present invention provides passive collection reservoir/sensing devices used in combination with active collection reservoir/sensing devices for detection of sweat and/or temperature related parameters.

    摘要: A chemical signal-impermeable mask is positioned in the electrolyte flow such that the mask is between a source of chemical signal and a working electrode which senses the chemical signal transported from the source (e.g., by diffusion). The configuration of the mask is such that the mask prevents substantially all chemical signal transport from the chemical signal source having a radial vector component relative to a plane of the mask and the catalytic face of the working electrode, thus allowing primarily only chemical signal transport that is substantially perpendicular to the place of the mask and the catalytic surface of the working electrode. By reducing or eliminating chemical signal radial transport toward the working electrode, the mask thus significantly reduces or eliminates edge effects. By substantially reducing edge effects created by radial transport of chemical signal, it is possible to obtain a more accurate measurement of the amount (e.g., concentration) of chemical signal that is transported from a given area of source material.

    摘要: This invention relates to a stereo imaging system for use in telerobotic systems. A method of imaging a target site in a stereo imaging system is provided. The method typically includes capturing a right and a left optical image of the target site and transforming the right and the left optical images preferably into digital information. The method further includes converting the digital information into opposed images of the target site displayed on a stereo display of the stereo imaging system, one of the opposed images being associated with the right optical image and the other of the opposed images being associated with the left optical image. The method further includes regulating the digital information to cause the positions of the target site displayed on the opposed images to change relative to each other. The invention further provides for a method of aligning the opposed images, to a method of adjusting the stereo working distance of an image capture device, such as an endoscope and to a stereo imaging system.
