    摘要: A data terminal which is coupled to a local area network and a public switched telephone network includes first and second communications devices that transmit and receive electronic mails through the local area network and facsimile image information through the public switched telephone network, respectively. The data terminal further includes a memory and a delivery controller. The memory stores a plurality of electronic-mail delivery control information sets, each information set being uniquely assigned to each user and including user identifiers necessary for the user to access a mail server and to receive electronic mails for the user, at least one facsimile number where to deliver the electronic mails, and a flag for indicating whether an electronic-mail delivery operation is required. The delivery controller controls the delivery operation, during which the data terminal accesses the mail server using the user identifiers to receive electronic mails for the user when the flag indicates the electronic-mail delivery operation is required and then the data terminal converts the electronic mails into facsimile image information. The controller then transmits the facsimile image information to at least one communications terminal that has a facsimile communications function using the at least one facsimile number included in the user identifiers.

    摘要: A rear passenger seat adapted for use in a vehicle compartment, the passenger seat having a seat cushion the front end portion of which is supported by a support leg assembly pivotally mounted on a recessed portion of the compartment floor and the rear end portion of which is locked in place by means of a lock mechanism on a deck portion of the compartment floor, wherein the support leg assembly includes a support leg pivotally mounted on the recessed portion of the compartment floor for pivotal movement in a fore-and-aft direction, a leg support member pivoted at its lower end to an upper end of the support leg and pivoted at its upper end to a support frame of the seat cushion to be folded forward at the upper end of the support leg and retainer means provided on a vertical wall between the recessed portion and deck portion of the compartment floor for releasably retaining the support leg assembly in an upright position by engagement therewith, and wherein a pneumatic spring is disposed a between the leg support member of the support leg assembly and a rear end portion of the support frame of the seat cushion to bias the leg support member in a direction for straightening the support leg assembly.

    摘要: A LAN interface apparatus determines which function of a plurality of functions of a multifunction peripheral apparatus is to be used. This determination may be performed by determining which function of the plurality of functions is selected in the multifunction peripheral apparatus. This selection may be performed as a result of a user specifying a desired function by pressing a relevant key provided on the multifunction peripheral apparatus. The multifunction peripheral apparatus then sends information to the LAN interface apparatus which thus determines the function being used in the multifunction peripheral apparatus. Then, the LAN interface apparatus appropriately alters a data storage area of a common memory and thus a resulting data storage area of the common memory is appropriate for a data flowing ratio between data flowing along two opposite directions, which ratio depends on the function being selected in the multifunction peripheral apparatus.
