摘要： A memory controlling apparatus for a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus which records and reproduces a field image signal in each read or write cycle performed by a video head for reproducing the image signal from a magnetic tape, and by a video head position detector for detecting the position of the video head. A reference circuit obtains a signal defining a reference timing which is independent of the position of the video head and which is also used to determine the phase of the video head. A memory is provided having storage sufficient to store the field image signal, and a controller is provided for controlling the operation of reading and writing the image signal from and into the memory. The controller is synchronized with a signal of the video head position detector when storing the image signal into the memory and when reading out the image stored in the memory, the controller and the head position detector are synchronized with the reference timing so as to enable production of a slow-motion image signal free from fluctuations caused by feeding of the magnetic tape.

摘要： On the occasion of stopping the tape running at a high speed, a winding radius of the tape supply reel is detected to set the tape deceleration rate (a) on the basis of the detected winding radius of the supply reel. After the tape running speed is decelerated up to the allowable speed VL in the predetermined deceleration rate (a), the tape is stopped by effectuating the brake. Thereby, the tape can be driven at the speed higher than the allowable speed VL without generating any damage, enabling reduction of time required for the fast-forward/rewind operation. This can improve application flexibility by providing a couple of tape running modes at the first high speed V1 which is higher than the allowable speed VL and the second high speed V2 which is lower than the allowable speed VL. In addition, running of the tape can be ceased within the predetermined time t from the input of the stop command signal by specifying the maximum speed Vmax depending on the preset deceleration rate (a) and limiting the tape running speed with the maximum speed Vmax.

摘要： The specification discloses a magnetic recording signal reproducing apparatus for controlling a magnetic tape and reproducing magnetic heads.In the magnetic recording signal reproducing apparatus of the invention, a magnetic tape which is moved for magnetic heads attached to a rotary cylinder is traced by the magnetic heads and signals recorded on tracks of the magnetic tape are reproduced. A construction of the apparatus includes a tracking control system, a tape tension control system, and an apparatus for selectively switching operations of both of the control systems. The tracking control system includes: an apparatus, attached to the rotary cylinder, for moving the magnetic heads in the width direction of the tracks in accordance with a tracking signal; and an apparatus for sampling the signals detected by the magnetic heads, for comparing a preceding sampled value with a present sampled value, and for generating the tracking signal such that the present sampled value is larger than the preceding sampled value. The tape tension control system includes: an apparatus for detecting changes per predetermined time in levels of the signals detected by the magnetic head; an apparatus for giving a tension to the moving magnetic tape and for adjusting the tension in accordance with a tension control signal; and an apparatus for generating the tension control signal to adjust the tension according to change amounts per predetermined time of the signal levels to a reference value. Further, the switching apparatus includes switching means for receiving the signals detected by the magnetic heads and for selectively energizing either one of the tracking control system and the tape tension control system in accordance with the levels of the signals. Another magnetic recording signal reproducing apparatus according to the invention comprises: two magnetic heads arranged to a cylinder so as to simultaneously trace adjacent tracks; an apparatus, attached to the cylinder, for individually moving the two magnetic heads in the width direction of the tracks in accordance with a head position control signal; and an apparatus for generating the head position control signal to move the magnetic heads in the width direction of the tracks in a manner such that when the recorded signals are reproduced at a speed different from a tape moving speed upon recording, amplitude levels of the reproduction signals detected by the two magnetic heads locating at predetermined track positions have a relation of opposite phases.

摘要： An auto-tracking apparatus of a magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus has a circuit for discriminating whether the audio signals recorded on a magnetic tape to be reproduced were recorded by audio rotary heads or a fixed head, and a circuit for selecting outputs of the audio rotary heads in the case of the Hi-Fi recorded magnetic tape by the audio rotary heads and outputs of the video rotary heads in the case where it is determined that the magnetic tape is the normal recorded tape by the fixed head on the basis of the result of the discrimination, and performs the auto-tracking on the basis of the selected outputs. With this arrangement, the auto-tracking can be carried out irrespective of whether the magnetic tape is the normal recorded tape by the conventional fixed head or the Hi-Fi recorded tape by the rotary heads.
