Abstract: An IC module is provided that includes an IC having a terminal electrode, and a substrate having a first surface and a second surface opposite to each other and having a land formed on the first surface. Moreover, the land is connected to the terminal electrode of the IC. On the first surface of the substrate, an insulator layer that covers an area outside of a formation area of the land is formed. A difference between a thickness of the insulator layer and a thickness of the IC is smaller than a difference between the thickness of the insulator layer and a thickness of the substrate, and the thickness of the substrate is smaller than the thickness of the insulator layer.

Abstract: An RFID inlay includes an RFID module and an antenna. The RFID module includes an RFIC and an antenna sharing circuit provided between the RFIC and the antenna. The RFIC includes a power receiving terminal to which power induced upon receipt of an electromagnetic wave for power reception is input and a transmitting terminal from which a transmission signal for RFID is output. Moreover, the antenna receives the electromagnetic wave for power reception and generates an electromagnetic wave for RFID.

Abstract: A coil component manufacturing method includes embedding coils in a flat plate-shaped element body defined by a molded body including magnetic particles such that the coils are in a matrix and winding axes of the coils extend in a thickness direction of the element body, one end portion of each of the coils is exposed to one main surface of the element body, and the other end portion of each of the coils is exposed to the other main surface of the element body, forming electrode films defining input/output terminals on both main surfaces of the element body so as to make contact with one of the end portions of each of the coils, and performing segmentation into individual coil components by cutting the element body at location between the coils adjacent to each other in the thickness direction.

Abstract: A sanitary article is equipped with a moisture-detecting RFID tag that includes a moisture-absorptive material; a moisture-detecting RFID tag adjacent to the moisture-absorptive material; and a relay antenna that is connected to the moisture-detecting RFID tag and that extends the communication range by relaying an output of the moisture-detecting RFID tag. Moreover, the moisture-detecting RFID tag includes an RFIC element, and an antenna element that is connected to the RFIC element. The moisture-detecting RFID tag outputs a variation of a communication distance or a signal intensity, originated from a variation of a moisture amount included in the moisture-absorptive material.
