摘要: It is impossible to individually identify management target articles in a conventional article management system. An article management system according to the present invention includes a reader antenna that transmits and receives a radio signal; a plurality of tag sheets each including an RF tag and placed on the reader antenna; an RFID reader that reads tag information unique to the RF tag via the reader antenna; and an identification mark attached to each of management target articles and arranged between the management target articles and each tag sheet. On a surface of the identification mark that faces the tag sheets, an identification pattern for identifying the identification mark is formed of a first pattern and a second pattern having a dielectric constant or conductivity lower than that of the first pattern.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide an interface apparatus which can suppress leakage of electromagnetic waves and supply electromagnetic waves efficiently without limiting applications or mounting positions. An interface apparatus (200) is provided that supplies electromagnetic waves to a sheet-shaped electromagnetic wave transmission medium for propagating electromagnetic waves and includes a first conductor surface, a second conductor surface disposed in an opposed state to and substantially parallel with the first conductor surface, electromagnetic wave supplying means (230) configured to supply electromagnetic waves to a gap between the first and second conductor surfaces, a first structure (240), and a second structure (250). The first and second structure (240 and 250) are respectively disposed on the first and second conductor surface and configured to reflect electromagnetic waves supplied by the electromagnetic wave supplying means with an end of the electromagnetic wave transmission medium inserted in the gap.

摘要: In conventional article management systems, a problem has been presented in that the degree of control over how articles are managed has not been adequate. An article management system having: a line constituted by an open-type transfer line; a distribution area in which articles to be managed are placed, the articles to be managed being placed in the distribution area; an RF tag provided with a tag transmission unit for electromagnetic coupling with the line of the distribution area for the articles to be managed; a signal communication unit provided to the line; an antenna for electromagnetic coupling with the signal communication unit; and an RFID reader for sending out the transmission signal to the line via the antenna, and receiving a response signal output by the tag transmission unit via the line. Any variations in the operating characteristics of the tag transmission unit caused by the articles to be managed are detected as a result of variations in the intensity or phase of the signal reflected from the RF tag, whereby the presence of an article to be managed is detected.

摘要: A problem with conventional article management systems has been that the management scheme for articles. The present invention addresses this problem by providing an article management system comprising: a transmitting antenna for transmitting a radio signal; a receiving antenna for receiving a radio signal; a article to be managed positioning region whereat articles to be managed are placed; an RF tag provided with a tag transmitting unit which electromagnetically couples with the transmitting antenna and the receiving antenna; and an RFID reader which sends a transmission signal to the RF tag via the transmitting antenna and receives a response signal outputted by the tag transmitting unit via the receiving antenna. The RFID reader detects whether or not a article to be managed is present by detecting for changes in the operation characteristics of the tag transmitting unit due to the article to be managed according to changes in either the strength or phase of the response signal from the RF tag.
