    Abstract: A light emitting apparatus includes: an electrically insulating base member that has first and second sides extending in a width direction, and third and fourth sides extending in a length direction, wherein the third and fourth sides are longer than the first and second sides; a plurality of electrically conductive pattern portions; a plurality of light emitting devices mounted on the electrically conductive pattern portions, the light emitting devices being arrayed in the length direction; a protection element that is flip chip mounted on the electrically conductive pattern portions and located, in the plan view, between the light emitting devices and the third side of the base member in the width direction; a first resin part that has a frame shape; a second resin part that is located in the first resin part; and at least one transparent member located on the light emitting devices.

    Abstract: A light-emitting device includes a substrate; a light-emitting element mounted on the substrate; a first light-transmissive member bonded to an upper surface of the light-emitting element via an adhesive; and a second light-transmissive member placed on an upper surface of the first light-transmissive member. In a plan view of the light-emitting device, a peripheral edge of a lower surface of the first light-transmissive member is positioned more inward than a peripheral edge of the upper surface of the light-emitting element. The adhesive extends from the upper surface of the light-emitting element to a lower surface of the second light-transmissive member, the adhesive covers a side surface of the first light-transmissive member, and the adhesive is separated from the substrate.

An upper surface of the light-transmissive member has a rectangular shape having a first lateral side and a second lateral side opposite to each other. In a plan view from above the light-emitting device, the first lateral side of the upper surface of the light-transmissive member is outside the first lateral side of the upper surface of the light-emitting element, and the second lateral side of the upper surface of the light-transmissive member is inside the second lateral side of the upper surface of the light-emitting element.

    Abstract: A light emitting apparatus comprises an electrically insulating base member; a pair of electrically conductive pattern portions formed on an upper surface of the base member; at least one light emitting device that is electrically connected to the pair of electrically conductive pattern portions; and a resin portion that surrounds at least a side surface of the at least one light emitting device and partially covers the pair of electrically conductive pattern portions. Each of the pair of electrically conductive pattern portions extends toward a periphery of the base member from resin-covered parts of the electrically conductive pattern portions.
