摘要： A toner containing a binder, a colorant, and a wax having a molecular chain consisting of C—H bond and C—C bond, wherein the mass reduction of the wax at 165° C. is 10% by mass or less, and the total amount of the wax in the toner measured by a DSC method is 1% by mass to 8% by mass, wherein a ratio, Sbet/SF, of a BET specific surface area (Sbet) of the toner to an average circularity (SF) of the toner is 1.0 m2/g or more to less than 3.6 m2/g, wherein the toner is obtained through a process which contains at least emulsifying or dispersing a toner material liquid in an aqueous medium containing a surfactant, and wherein the toner material liquid is a liquid containing toner-forming materials which contains at least the binder, the colorant and the wax.

摘要： A toner is provided including a mother toner including a crystalline polyester resin, an amorphous resin, and a wax, and an external additive in an amount of from 0.30 to 0.55 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the mother toner. The toner satisfies the following equation 0.36≦(2.77×C/R+1.97×W/R)/X≦1.85, wherein each of C, W, and R represents a height of an absorbance peak specific to the crystalline polyester resin, the wax, and the amorphous resin, respectively, measured by a FT-IR ATR method, and X represents an amount (parts by weight) of the external additive. An image forming method and apparatus using the toner are also provided.

摘要： A toner including a binder resin comprising a modified polyester having an ester bond and a chemical bond other than the ester bond, and a crystalline polyester; and a release agent comprising a microcrystalline wax comprising a hydrocarbon having 20 to 80 carbon atoms which comprises 55 to 70% by weight of a linear hydrocarbon. The microcrystalline wax has an acid value of from 0.1 to 20 mgKOH/g and a melting point of from 65 to 90° C. The melting point is a temperature at which a local maximum endothermic peak is observed in a differential thermal curve measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The release agent is dispersed in the toner with a dispersion diameter of from 0.06 to 1.50 μm.
