摘要: A medical treatment apparatus utilizing ultrasonic waves according to this invention is applied to treatments such as breaking up a stone formed in a living body. The medical treatment apparatus utilizing ultrasonic waves includes a vibration generator (10) for generating ultrasonic vibrations and a vibration transmission member (16) for transmitting the ultrasonic vibrations generated by the vibration generator (10). The vibration transmission member (16) has a front end portion and a proximal end portion which is mounted on the vibration generator (10). The medical treatment apparatus further includes a cover member (20) for surrounding the outer surface of the vibration transmission member (16) and an exposing member (21) for exposing the distal end portion of the vibration transmission member (16) outside the cover member (20). When the vibration transmission member (16) is inserted into an endoscope channel and a body cavity, the distal end of vibration transmission member (16) does not damage them since the distal end is sealed with the cover (20).

摘要: An endoscopic lithotripsy probe apparatus includes a probe, ultrasonic-vibration source, mechanical shock generation source, and switch-mechanism. The ultrasonic-vibration source is detachably attached to the probe to transmit an ultrasonic-vibration to the probe in a state in which the proximal end of the probe is connected to the ultrasonic-vibration source. The mechanical shock generation source, which is disposed on the side of the proximal end of the probe, applies a force to the ultrasonic-vibration source in a state in which the ultrasonic-vibration source is detached from the proximal end of the probe, and allows the ultrasonic-vibration source to collide with the proximal end of the probe so that a mechanical shock is applied to the probe. The switch-mechanism switches a state in which the ultrasonic-vibration from the ultrasonic-vibration source is transmitted to the probe and a state in which the mechanical shock from the mechanical shock generation source is transmitted.

摘要: An electric medical apparatus according to the present invention performs an incising treatment automatically after the coagulating treatment has been performed without a necessity for an operator to perform another operation between the two treatment operations when the incising treatment performs after a coagulating treatment. The electric medical apparatus comprises a CPU, a waveform generating circuit, an amplifier and an output control unit to supply an output for performing the coagulating treatment to a treatment device and an output for performing the incising treatment to the treatment device. The impedance of a living tissue with which the treatment device is brought into contact is measured and calculated by a voltage sensor, a current sensor and an impedance calculating portion. In accordance with a result of the calculation performed by the impedance calculating portion, an output from an electric knife body is, by the CPU, switched to the output for the incising treatment after the coagulating treatment has been performed.
