摘要： A disk brake assembly includes a disk rotor, a mounting member secured to a vehicle body and having a pair of opposed arms positioned at opposite sides of the disk rotor, respectively, a pair of confronting pads arranged on the arms, respectively, a caliper slidably supported on the mounting member so as to be movable in an axial direction generally parallel to an axis of the disk rotor, the caliper having a piston portion and a reaction portion disposed on opposite sides of the disk rotor and arranged to press the pads against opposite surfaces of the disk rotor for generating a braking force therebetween, a plate secured to one of the arms so as to be deformed upon generation of the braking force along a direction thereof, and a detecting device serving for measuring a deformation of the plate as a braking force and converting the deformation into an electric signal.

摘要： A rotational type variable resistor includes a base plate having an arcuate resistance element and an arcuate electrode formed on one surface thereof. A shaft adapted to be connected to the control member is rotatably mounted in the housing and carries a pair of brushes which are disposed in sliding engagement with the resistance member and the electrode. The resistance element is formed from a first resistance layer deposited on the base plate between a pair of copper foil electrodes. A silver paste is disposed between the copper foil electrodes and the opposite ends of the first resistance layer and a second resistance layer is formed which completely overlies the first resistance layer and the copper foil electrodes. The arcuate electrode includes a first layer of copper foil disposed on the surface of the substrate. A silver paste is coated on the upper surface of the copper foil and a third resistance layer is disposed on the surface of the silver paste, and a fourth resistance layer covers the third resistance layer. The resistivity of the first and third layers differs from the resistivity of the second and fourth layers.

摘要： Disclosed is a rotation detecting sensor suitable for use under a vibration-abundant condition as e.g. a sensor disposed in an automobile body for detecting rotation of an engine or ABS. The sensor includes a detecting element for detecting rotation of a rotary body as a change in a magnetic flux and outputting a signal and an integrated circuit for processing the amplified signal into a pulse corresponding to the detected rotation of the rotary body. The signal processing includes an initialization such as a gain adjustment for obtaining an appropriate gain for use in the subsequent process of conversion of the amplified signal to the pulse. According to this invention, a re-initialization is effected to obtain a new initial value such as a new gain if the previously effected initialization is determined inappropriate.

摘要： A power transfer device for an inboard/outboard motor which includes a propeller unit mounted on the hull of a vessel, the propeller unit including an input shaft for drive connection to an output shaft of the inboard/outboard motor, an intermediate shaft connected to a propeller shaft, a hydraulic clutch provided on the input shaft to establish a drive power train between the input shaft and intermediate shaft when it has been engaged and to disconnect the input shaft from the intermediate shaft when it has been disengaged, and a changeover mechanism of the gear selection type disposed between the input shaft and intermediate shaft for switching over the drive power train from a forward drive to a backward drive or vice versa. The power transfer device is provided with a hydraulic control apparatus for operating the changeover mechanism in shifting operation to switch over the drive power train from the forward drive to the backward drive or vice versa in a condition where the hydraulic clutch is maintained in its disengaged condition and for engaging the hydraulic clutch after the drive power train has been switched over from the forward drive to the backward drive or vice versa.

A protective layer is formed on the base plate adjacent to a first electrode and between the arcuate resistive layers. A gap separates the protective layer from the first electrode in order to electrically isolate the protective layer. The protective layer serves as a lubricating layer to reduce the wear on the brush.

摘要： A position detecting sensor for detecting a position of a magnetic body includes a first yoke, a first pair of magnets respectively possessing first and second poles and provided at both sides of the first yoke, a magnetic detecting element located at a distant position at a right angle from a center portion on a line connecting the first pair of magnets. 摘要： A position detecting sensor includes a magnet, a magnetic detecting element, and a yoke adjacent to or near the magnet. A detected member is positioned at one side of the position detecting sensor so as to be adjacent to or away from the position detecting sensor. The magnet is oriented to generate a magnetic line of flux which flows in a direction complying with an extending direction of the detected member. The magnetic detecting element is positioned in an area in which a magnetic flux density generated by the magnet is relatively low when the detected member is positioned away from the position detecting sensor and a magnetic flux density is relatively high when the detected member is positioned adjacent to the position detecting sensor.
