摘要: A supporting structure for ceramic tubes in a gas system in which a plurality of stages of tube support plates are provided in a substantially horizontal manner in a container, and ceramic tubes are supported with their axial lines being substantially vertical between the vertically adjacent tube support plates so that through holes formed in the tube support plates are communicated with the inner passages of the ceramic tubes, and metallic ring holders are respectively fitted to the outer periphery of the lower end portion of the tubes with interposed compacted layers while the metallic ring holders are in contact with the lower end faces of the tubes, and the ring holders are respectively in contact with and are supported by the tube support plates which are placed below the ring holders. Engaging means of the ceramic tubes to the tube support plates is also disclosed.

摘要: In a joint structure for a tube support plate and a tube, a ceramic tube is provided aligned with a retaining hole of a tube support plate cooled by cooling medium and a bellows is placed in or near the retaining hole. An end of the bellows is fixed directly or indirectly to the tube support plate and the other end thereof is linked to the ceramic tube.

摘要: A system for recovering as power the pressure and sensible heat of the gas discharged from the top of a blast furnace by guiding the gas to a dry-type dust collector for the removal of dust while maintaining the gas at the furnace top pressure and introducing the gas into a turbine for expansion. To protect the dry-type dust collector when the gas is run off from the furnace at an abnormally high temperature, a gas channel extending from the furnace to the dust collector is provided with at least one injector, which injects a cooling fluid into the gas in response to a signal from a temperature detecting sensor disposed close to the gas outlet of the dust collector. The sensor which is positioned near the dust collector outlet detects the temperature without the time delay attributable to the deposition of dust. With use of the dry-type dust collector, the gas can be fed to the turbine almost without cooling for the recovery of an increased amount of power.

摘要: Method in which a metal fuel in the form of molten droplets is brought into contact with water for reaction. The fuel comprises aluminum as a primary fuel component and at least one of lithium, magnesium, sodium, potassium and sodium-potassium alloy as an auxiliary fuel component and is used in the form of an alloy or a mixture of these fuel components. When used in the form of an alloy, the fuel is preheated to a molten state and injected into a reactor under high pressure, whereby the fuel is made into droplets and contacted with water vapor introduced into the reactor from another system. For use as a mixture, the fuel is made into a slurry the liquid phase of which consists singly of the auxiliary fuel component, and the slurry is injected into an atmosphere containing water vapor.

摘要: A human powered drive units each including a pair of a rotatable member having a sprocket and a supporting member having a sprocket, which are arranged up and down, and including a chain extended around the rotatable member and the supporting member, are disposed at left and right sides, respectively. The left and right rotatable members 1, 100 are fixed on a driving shaft 15. A chain ring 6 on which the load is applied is mounted on the driving shaft between upper rotatable member 1 and rotatable member 100. In each of the units, constraining means including a free crank (10 for the right-hand unit, and 1000 for the left-hand unit) and arm (11 for the right-hand unit, and 1100 for the left-hand unit), is provided so as to maintain perpendicularity of a shaft of the pedal relative to the plane in which the chain moves. By the rider kicking the pedal along the closed orbit including a linear orbit portion, the force transmitted to the pedal from the foot of the rider is efficiently converted to a rotational force in a longer period of time, thus increasing the power input.
