    摘要: An apparatus, method and system are provided for carrying and dispensing an ink into a printing system. A system configured to dispense an ink comprises an ink carrying apparatus having a container, a movable cover, a unit monitor, a film, and a locking tab. The system also comprises a docking station configured to accept the ink carrying apparatus and engage the locking tab when the movable cover is in an open position. The system further comprises a processor configured to communicate with the unit monitor to facilitate a movement of the movable cover from a closed position to the open position. Based on a detection of a type of ink in the container, the movable cover is allowed to be moved from the closed position to the open position so as to facilitate removal of the film and cause the ink to be dispensed.

    摘要: This is a magnetic developer purification structure that is used along with other stations positioned in the path of an electrostatic moving belt or drum in an electrostatic marking system. This purification structure may be a separate station or may be part of the development station provided it supplies purified developer to the development station prior to developer contacting the latent image on the drum or belt. The purification structure will agitate the developer mix to form a homogenous mixture of toner and carrier. This mixture is magnetically treated to separate less magnetically attracted contaminants from the remainder of the mixture. The contaminants are removed from the mix and substantially pure developer is then available for contact with the latent image.

    摘要: Dispenser conduit partitions are used to improve the discharge flow of toner particles from a toner dispenser bottle in a host image forming device. A dispenser conduit partition assembly is inserted into the funnel-like dispenser conduit of the toner dispenser bottle. The conduit partition assembly is arranged with multiple partition members. The multiple partition members act to partition the single symmetric dispenser conduit into a corresponding multiplicity of asymmetric dispenser component conduits. As a result, the toner particles are dispensed by the multiple dispenser component conduits to thereby form a corresponding multiplicity of asymmetric toner particle discharge flows, thus reducing toner bridging.

    摘要: An apparatus for assisting in filling a container from a hopper containing a supply of particulate material is provided. The apparatus includes a conduit operably connected to the hopper and extending downwardly therefrom. The conduit is adapted to permit a flow of particulate material therewithin. The apparatus also includes a nozzle assembly operably connected to the conduit and extending downwardly therefrom. The nozzle assembly defines an inlet thereof for receiving particulate material from the conduit and defines an outlet thereof for dispensing particulate material from the nozzle assembly to the container. A conveyor within the conduit assists in providing the flow of particulate material from the hopper to the container. Within the nozzle assembly is a porous nozzle with dimensions selected so as to provide a ratio of the inlet cross sectional area to the outlet cross sectional area and selection and application of an air boundary layer to the inner surface of the porous nozzle to maximize the porous nozzle's compression ratio and thereby maximizing the diameter of the conduit with respect to the container opening such that the flow of particulate material does not seize as it progresses through the nozzle.

    摘要: An apparatus for assisting in filling a container from a hopper containing a supply of powder is provided. The hopper defines a longitudinal axis thereof. The apparatus includes a conduit rotatably connected to the hopper and extending downwardly therefrom. The conduit is adapted to permit a flow of powder therewithin. The conduit defines a longitudinal axis thereof. The conduit further defines an inlet thereof for receiving the supply of powder from the hopper and an outlet for dispelling the powder therefrom. The inlet has an inlet center thereof and the outlet has an outlet center thereof. At least one of the inlet center and the outlet center is spaced from the longitudinal axis of the hopper so that as the conduit is rotated with respect to the hopper, the position of the outlet center with respect to the hopper changes.
