摘要: An apparatus and method for melt spinning polymeric yarns, wherein a main melt flow is generated by an extruder and supplied to a spin head. The spin head is enclosed in a heated spinning beam and comprises a mixer, a distributor pump and a plurality of spinnerets. A feed device generates a secondary flow which is supplied to the main melt flow for the purpose of additive admixture. The secondary flow and the main melt flow are combined inside the spinning beam.

摘要: A spring support device has a housing; a coil spring having one end supported in the housing and another end carrying a spring disc; at least two bell crank levers arranged on the spring disc symmetrically to the coil spring; and a fulcrum slidably and pivotally supporting each bell crank lever on the spring disc. Each bell crank lever has a first arm extending from the fulcrum generally parallel to a radial plane of the coil spring and each bell crank lever has a second arm extending from the fulcrum at an angle to the first arm. The first and second arms have an end remote from the fulcrum. A pull rod has one end adapted to carry a load and another end at least indirectly articulated to the end of each first arm. The spring support device further comprises a mechanism for guiding the end of each second arm in a stationary, arcuate path oriented generally parallel to an axial plane of the coil spring.

摘要: An edge protector 7 for electrodes 1, comprises first and second elongate elements 8, 9, both of superficially electrically insulating material, the first element 8 having a generally "H"-shaped cross-section so as to provide open slots on opposite sides, one slot defined between a pair of outer jaws 12 and the other slot defined between a pair of inner jaws 10, a bare or suitably gasketed edge 6 of an electrode 1 being insertable into and located within the inner jaws 10, and the second element 9 being constituted by a member so dimensioned as to be an interference fit within the outer jaws 12, whereby the outer jaws 12 are forced further apart with the result that the outer jaws 12 endeavour to close the inner jaws 10 to form a seal to prevent electrolyte from wetting the edge 6 of the electrode 1.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for measuring the cooling curve of a test sample of metal or a metal alloy, in particular cast iron or cast steel, for the differential thermal analysis in which the difference of the cooling curve of the test sample of a fixedly given comparative curve which satisfies Newton's law of cooling (U=U.sub.0 .times.e.sup.-t/RC, the U.sub.0 parameter being the maximum value at the point in time t=0 and the RC parameter being the time constant) is formed, said comparative curve being brought to coincidence with a section of the cooling curve of the sample by adjusting its parameters so that the difference can then be formed between the adjusted comparative curve and the cooling curve.

摘要: A process for the preparation of a stabilized, modified, aqueous chlorite solution with a peroxy compound content is described. A weak, acid, aqueous solution of a peroxy compound substantially stable therein is provided and into this solution is metered an aqueous solution of a chlorite until the pH-value of 7 is exceeded, accompanied by the formation of a greenish solution. The peroxy compounds can in particular be peroxy sulphates, percarbonates and perborates of alkali metal or alkaline earth metals, as well as hydrogen peroxide. The chlorite solutions obtainable according to the above process are stable over a long period and have a high oxidative activity, particularly when used as a biocide. The biocidal action can be used with particular advantage in water treatment and in the external treatment of skin diseases.

摘要: Apparatus for the determination of bond forms of gases, such as a sample containing oxygen or nitrogen in solid or liquid small metal samples (e.g. from 0.8 to 1.2 g).The apparatus includes a furnace to heat the sample to a temperature of about 3000.degree. C. maximum in less than five minutes, a control device to control the rate at a value between 20.degree. C./sec and 350.degree. C./sec, a gas analyzer coupled to the furnace to indicate as a function of the supplied gas the quantities of gas released from the furnace in equal periods of time, and a computer coupled to the furnace and to the gas analyzer for receiving therefrom a measured value sequence in the form of a curve (Evologram) related to the gas quantities released per unit time to the computer for the determination of the bond forms of the gases contained in the sample, and the computer forms a first derivative curve and a second derivative curve from the measured value curve (Evologram) to form measured values between successive points in a minimum position and/or points which occur as a second inflection point immediately after a first inflection point on the measured value curve, these point positions being identified by zero indications and extreme positions on the derivative curves.
