摘要: A lock mechanism for a vehicle door latch includes a lock actuator drivingly coupled to a lock link for movement of the lock link between a first position corresponding to a locked state of a latch and a second position corresponding to an unlocked state of the latch. The mechanism further includes a superlock actuator drivingly connected to a superlock link slidably mounted for movement of the superlock link between a third position corresponding to a superlocked state of the latch and a fourth position corresponding to a non-superlocked state of the latch. A fixed abutment surface and an inside lock lever are mounted such that movement of the lock link between the first and second positions may be achieved when the superlock link is in the fourth position. When the superlock link is the third position, the relative positions of the inside lock lever, the superlock link and the abutment surface prevent movement of the lock link between the first and second positions.

摘要: A latch mechanism for a vehicle door includes a latch bolt, a pawl biased into engagement with the latch bolt to maintain the latch bolt in a latched condition, and a manual release lever for operable linkage to a vehicle door handle. A power release member is movable to displace the pawl from an engaged position where the pawl engages the latch bolt to a disengaged position where the pawl does not engage the latch bolt. A clutch member is mounted such that movement of the pawl causes movement of the clutch member. The clutch member is movable by the manual release lever between a first rest position at which a break is created in a transmission path from the power release member to the pawl and a second position at which power actuation of the power release member moves the pawl from the engaged position to the disengaged position

During normal operation, the inertia device is biased to form a transmission path that transmits an unlatching movement from the release lever to release a latch bolt of the latch. If an impact on the vehicle creates an acceleration force above a predetermined level, the inertia device moves to break the transmission path, preventing the latch from being unlatched.

摘要: A latch and a method for preventing a latch from failing to open while a connected handle is lifted are provided. The latch includes a primary pawl pivotally mounted to the latch. An end piece having a protrusion extending from it is fixed to the primary pawl. An inner lever is rotatably coupled to the end piece. The inner lever includes a tail adjacent the protrusion of the end piece. The inner lever is movable between a first position and a second position. A secondary pawl is pivotally mounted to the latch and is movable between a first position and a second position. A blocking lever is also coupled to the latch and movable between a first position and a second position. When the inner lever is in a second position, the tail abuts the protrusion and the blocking lever limits movement of the inner lever and the primary pawl.
