摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communications, and more specifically to random access procedures and/or prioritization of broadcast transmissions in machine type communications (MTC) devices and enhanced MTC (eMTC). An example method generally includes determining a plurality of subframes in which the UE may transmit a bundled random access channel (RACH) message to a base station (BS), determining, within the subframes, at least one narrowband region for transmitting the bundled RACH message, determining a bundling size for the bundled RACH message, the bundling size indicating a number of the plurality of subframes in which the bundled RACH message is transmitted, and transmitting the bundled RACH message in the narrowband region of the plurality of subframes, based at least in part on the determined bundling size.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Discontinuous reception (DRX) operation may be configured differently on enhanced component carriers (eCCs) than on other component carriers, including a primary cell (PCell). In some cases, a user equipment (UE) may be configured with several different eCC DRX modes. An eCC DRX configuration may, for example, be coordinated with downlink (DL) transmission time interval (TTI) scheduling so each DRX ON duration may correspond to a DL burst duration of the corresponding eCC. The eCC DRX ON durations may also be scheduled according to hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process scheduling. In some examples, eCC DRX ON durations may be based on listen-before-talk (LBT) procedures. In some cases, eCC DRX ON durations may be configured to contain an uplink (UL) burst to enable channel state information (CSI) reporting. The eCC DRX may also be configured to minimize interruption of the PCell.

摘要: Techniques for managing handovers in an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band may provide that a serving base station may receive one or more base station measurement reports and one or more UE measurement reports. The base station measurement reports may include information associated with one or more devices that may transmit signals using an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band. The UE measurement reports may include information associated with one or more devices that may generate interfering signals at the UE, which may include interfering signals from one or more devices that are not detected by the serving base station. The serving base station may, in some examples, determine whether to handover the UE to a second base station based at least in part on the base station measurement report and the UE measurement report.

摘要: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide procedures for managing secondary eNB (SeNB) radio link failure (S-RLF) in dual connectivity scenarios. A user equipment (UE) may establish communication with a Master Evolved Node B (MeNB) and a Secondary eNB (SeNB). The UE may detect a Radio Link Failure (RLF) of a connection with the SeNB and may transmit an indication of the RLF to the MeNB, in response to the detection. The MeNB may take at least one action to manage the RLF, in response to receiving the indication of the RLF, for example, including transmitting a reconfiguration command to the UE. The SeNB may also detect the RLF and transmit an indication of the RLF to the MeNB over a backhaul connection, in response to the detection.

摘要: Cell selection techniques are provided for network access to cells that may employ one or more coverage enhancement techniques. A user equipment (UE), which may be a machine type communication (MTC) device, upon initial acquisition or upon wakeup may measure a reference signal received power (RSRP), reference signal received quality (RSRQ), or both, and determine a cell selection value based at least in part on the RSRP, RSRQ, or a combination thereof. The cell selection value may be determined based on an offset, which may be selected based on a measurement accuracy capability of the UE. UE sequential access attempts, neighbor cell list information that may include coverage enhancement of neighboring cells transmissions, and cell re-selection measurement frequency adjustments are also described.

摘要: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A first method may include receiving at a user equipment (UE) over an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band an indication of a time window associated with a transmission of a synchronization signal, and monitoring the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band during the time window to receive a synchronization signal from a base station. A second method may include transmitting an indication of a time window associated with a transmission of a synchronization signal; performing a plurality of clear channel assessments (CCAs) on an unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band during the time window; and transmitting the synchronization signal over the unlicensed radio frequency spectrum band at a transmission time during the time window. The transmission time may be based at least in part on a result of at least one of the CCAs.

摘要: According to the present disclosure, CSI and/or a plurality of ACKs related to a group of DL data transmissions may be buffered at the UE as a GACK until a DCI trigger is received from the eNB. Once the trigger is received, the UE may transmit the CSI and/or GACK to the eNB. In this way HARQ feedback and/or CSI may be reliably communicated while reducing payload. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus send, to a UE, data transmissions associated with a first plurality of downlink subframes. In an aspect, the apparatus increments a counter for each data transmission sent to the UE. In a further aspect, the apparatus transmits, to the UE, a first trigger for a first GACK when a counter is greater than or equal to a threshold.
