    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may calculate at least one of a nominal power value, an alpha value, or an initial transmit power value for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission occasion in a full-duplex slot, wherein the PUSCH transmission occasion is associated with a radio resource control (RRC) connection resulting from a random access process during which the UE does not receive a PUSCH alpha set or is associated with a random access response uplink grant for a transmission or retransmission. The UE may transmit in the PUSCH transmission occasion using at least one of the nominal power value, the alpha value, or the initial transmit power value. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support multiple stages of beamforming for a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS). A network entity may configure a RIS controller and a user equipment (UE) with a multi-stage beamforming configuration for a RIS. The configuration may be associated with multiple stages of beamforming that include a first stage and one or more second stages that refine one or more characteristics of the first stage. The network entity may also transmit a message indicating a beam training procedure for one or more of the multiple stages, where the beam training procedure may include communicating reference signals between the network entity and the UE, via the RIS. The network entity and the UE may perform the beam training procedure, and based on a result of the beam training procedure the RIS controller may configure one or more beamforming matrices for the RIS.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish a connection with a network entity for operation within a time division duplex (TDD) frequency band. The UE may transmit, to the network entity via the TDD frequency band, capability information that indicates one or more capabilities of the UE associated with operating in a full-duplex mode within the TDD frequency band. The UE may perform, with the network entity, full-duplex communications within the TDD frequency band in accordance with the one or more indicated capabilities. Performing the full-duplex communications within the TDD frequency band may include transmitting first signaling within a first subband of the TDD frequency band concurrent with receiving second signaling within a second subband of the TDD frequency band.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A network entity may transmit a set of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) to a user equipment (UE). The set of SSBs may indicate both a first set of random access occasions and a second set of random access occasions that may be different than the first set of random access occasions. The second set of random access occasions may be associated with full-duplex capable wireless devices (e.g., UEs). As such, the network entity may monitor both the first set of random access occasions and the second set of random access occasions. Based on the monitoring, the network entity may receive a random access preamble from a UE during a random access occasion. The UE may transmit the random access preamble during the random access occasion based on the UE being a full-duplex capable wireless device.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a message that indicates a first quantity of calculations that the UE is capable of performing within a same time period. The first quantity of calculations may include at least one calculation that is based on one or more cross-link interference (CLI) measurements at the UE. A first quantity of reports supported by the UE may be based on the first quantity of calculations. The CLI measurements may correspond to interference at the UE based on communications by at least a second UE. The UE may transmit a second quantity of one or more reports based on the CLI measurements. The second quantity of reports may be less than or equal to the first quantity of reports based on the message.
