摘要： Method for applying spacing material to a sheet printed by a printing press includes providing spacing material which is solid at least at ambient temperature, spotwise applying individual spacing material particles formed from the spacing material onto a surface of the sheet, and fixing the applied spacing material particles to the sheet; and a printing-press device for performing the method.

摘要： The hydrophilic properties of a printing-machine roller are adjusted with a coating applied on an outer surface of its cylindrical body. The coating contains at least 45% by weight of pure silicon, or it is formed exclusively of chemically pure silicon. The coating is between 0.2 and 2 mm thick and its surface roughness R.sub.z is no more than 5 .mu.m.
