At the clamping end of the tool holder, a checkvalve is provided in the air supply passage to block incursion of liquid coolant even at high pressures of the latter and thus prevent corrosion and damage which may result from such corrosion.

    摘要: A cutting bit (1) has a bottom side (2), flanks (3) that are inclined at a positive clearance angle (.alpha.) with respect to the bottom side (2), and a top side (7). The top side (7) has cutting edges (5 and 5') which are inclined with respect to one another at an angle of inclination (.lambda.). The cutting bit is made by sintering a blank which is formed using a pressing tool (10). The pressing tool includes a mold member (11), an upper die (12), and a lower die (13). The upper die (12) has a pressure face (20) which corresponds precisely, except for an allowance for the shrinkage ratio of the sinter material, to the actual surface of the upper side of the cutting bit (1). When the upper die (12) is fully inserted into the mold (11), a free space (31) exists between the upper die (12) and the mold member (11), the free space being disposed above the delimiting line (21) of pressure face (20) of the upper die (12).

    摘要: A tool changing device for tool systems in which a tool head and a tool holder are connected with one another by means of an automatic clamping mechanism which includes an integrated clamping screw. The tool changing device includes a lifting carriage which is movable on several axes and a rotatably mounted, motor driven pivot arm which is mounted on the lifting carriage. The pivot arm has a free end which is equipped with a gripper holder having at least four tool locations and an integrated clamping shaft. Both ends of the clamping shaft are provided with profiles which permit transfer of torques. The clamping shaft can be moved axially in such a manner that it can be coupled with the clamping screw of a tool holder either from the left or from the right.

    摘要: A tool-and-tool holder assembly includes a tool having a tool shank; a tool holder having a receiving bore arranged for accommodating a stub of the tool shank; a clamping member disposed in the stub and being movable therein, generally perpendicularly to the shank; and two clamping screws supported in the tool holder and cooperating with the clamping member for axially tightening the shank against the tool holder. Each clamping screw has a first conical face and the clamping member has recesses each bounded by a second conical face. Upon tightening the clamping screws, the respective first and second conical faces are pressed against one another for generating an axial force component urging the shank into the receiving bore. At least one of the clamping screws has a third conical face, and the clamping member has a portion projecting over one of the recesses and having a fourth conical face. Upon unscrewing the clamping screw which has the third conical face, the third and fourth conical faces are pressed to one another for gererating a second axial force component urging the shank in a direction out of the receiving bore of the tool holder.

    摘要: To produce a connection without play between the shaft or shank (3) of a tool head (1) and a corresponding bore (4) of a tool holder (2), the shank includes an abutment collar (5), an adjacent short conical portion (3a), a cylindrical pin portion (3b), and a guide portion (3c) at the end of the shank. The short conical portion adjacent the collar is slightly overdimensioned compared to a corresponding conical portion (4a) of the bore. When the shank is forced into the bore at least one of these parts is elastically deformed and the abutment of the shank comes into planar contact with an end face of the tool holder. The guide portion (3c) at the end of the shank may be either cylindrical or conical.

    摘要: A boring tool is provided with first and second rectangular reversing cut plates which have, in each case, two short and two considerably longer cutting edges. One of the reversing cut plates is arranged connecting to or intersecting the axis of rotation of the boring tool, while the other reversing cut plate 12 is arranged connecting to the outer circle defined by the boring tool. The cutting edges active in each case on the face side of the boring tool have a straight construction and they overlap to a greater or lesser extend, in accordance with the bore diameter. The bend-free and jog-free construction of the active cutting edges of the cut plates makes possible the use of the same reversing cut plates on boring tools having different diameters with only the extent of the overlap of the cut plates being changed.
