摘要: A microprocessor controlled condition sensor comprising a parallel multiport microprocessor, precision resistor, capacitor, and one or more transducers (e.g., thermistor) determines the value of the condition being sensed (e.g. temperature) by calculating the resistance of the transducer through the ratio of interval 0/1 threshold timings determined by the RC time constants of precision resistor-capacitor and transducer-capacitor connections. The value of the condition (e.g., temperature) is subsequently obtained via a lookup table within the microprocessor which contains the relationship between transducer resistance and condition magnitude.

摘要: A system and method for updating and communicating traffic information to at least one receiving vehicle includes a traffic information center and at least one probe vehicle. In a preferred embodiment, major road sections are represented as links, the center stores and updates a parent map database of links that are associable with a first value of a condition, each probe vehicle is configured to receive a copy of the database either periodically or upon request, determine a second value of the condition, and compare the first and second values to determine a condition discrepancy. Where the discrepancy surpasses a threshold, each probe vehicle is further configured to upload at least the second value to the center, so as to update the parent map database.

摘要: The described principles provide a method and system for identifying a potentially closed road based on reroute requests, and of accommodating the potential road closure while continuing to test the road status periodically via routing decisions and rerouting requests. While the optimal route assumes that the potentially closed road is open, a replacement route is defined assuming that the potentially closed road is closed. A fraction of users are sent along the optimal route, and if a reroute request is received, the potentially closed road is assumed to be closed still. The affected user is rerouted to a recovery route that matches the optimal route up to the potentially closed road, and then differs from the optimal route thereafter to avoid the potentially closed road.

摘要: A method and apparatus for distributing air. The apparatus includes an air distribution vent that distributes air into a compartment, wherein the distribution of air into the compartment causes compartment air from the compartment to be drawn from the compartment. The apparatus also includes a contaminant removal system, wherein compartment air drawn from the compartment is processed to remove contaminants before being distributed back into the compartment by the air distribution vent.

摘要: A device and method for mounting electrical boxes (1) in preexisting drywall (4) using a mounting bracket (3). To use, a holding wire (14) having a stop (15) on one end is placed through a screw hole (9) of a cover (2) which is attached the electrical box. Then the electrical box and cover are placed sideways through a wall hole (7) in the drywall. Next the electrical box is lowered behind the wall so that conduit (8) may be connected to the electrical box. Then a mounting bracket (3) is secured to the cover and electrical box with holding clips (11) and screws (12) using the holding wire to keep the mounting bracket and cover centered with the wall hole. A standard switch or outlet cover may then be installed to cover the mounting bracket. An additional novel feature of the present invention is a stop strap (17) which may be attached to conduit above a top plate (10) of a wall to bold the conduit in place.

The loops are physically arranged so that a source of interference induces opposing signals in the loops, thereby effecting cancellation of the interference at the input of the receiving circuit. In one embodiment, the input circuit is arranged to be electrically differential as well as magnetically differential.
