摘要： An articulating leg rest is provided having a first member pivotally connected to a base frame. The base frame may be either connected to or part of a wheelchair frame. A second member is telescopically received by the first member. A drive system includes a motor-driven lead screw. First and second housings each have internally threaded portions engaged with the lead screw. A link connects the first housing to the base frame. The second housing engages the second member. Rotation of the lead screw advances the first housing along the lead screw, moving the link and causing the first and second members to rotate relative to the base frame. Rotation of the lead screw also advances the second housing along the lead screw, causing the second housing to linearly translate the second member relative to the first member.

摘要： A vehicle is disclosed having a pair of drive wheels, at least one ground-engaging front wheel connected to the frame forward of the drive wheels and at least one ground-contacting anti-tip wheel mounted to the vehicle rearward of the drive wheels. The drive wheels and anti-tip wheels are mounted on common suspension arms, pivoted to the frame of the vehicle behind the drive wheels and resiliently suspended, so that the anti-tip wheels move up and down in response to movements of the drive wheel suspension.

Each front wheel is part of a front arm assembly that is rigidly coupled to a drive via a mounting plate. The mounting plate is connected to the wheelchair frame by a pivot. The drives are transversely mounted. The batteries are disposed rearward of the drives. The wheelchair seat can be moved forward to provide access to the batteries without fully removing the wheelchair from the frame. Or the wheelchair may provide side access to the batteries and the wheelchair may be fixed.

摘要： A curb-climbing rear wheel drive power wheelchair is disclosed having a pair of drive wheels, at least one ground-engaging idler wheel connected to the frame forward of the drive wheels and at least one anti-tip wheel mounted above ground aft of the drive wheels. Each drive wheel and an associated drive assembly are mounted to a motor support bracket that is pivoted to the frame of the wheelchair. The drive assembly is mounted such that its motor is angled upward and rearward from the bracket. The anti-tip wheel is attached to one motor support bracket such that pivoting of the motor support bracket causes vertical displacement of the anti-tip wheel.
